This cosy chalet is situated on Barrs Country Park within the grounds of an 18th century Welsh Farm Cottage, on the outskirts of the village of Crossgates, just over three miles from the spa town of Llandrindod Wells. This chalet is an ideal romantic break for couples wishing to explore this central part of Wales. The chalet is all ground floor with a compact, well-equipped kitchen and a sitting room with comfy seating around a fire, as well as a dining area. Outside is a private decked area where you can relax with a refreshing drink whilst enjoying the countryside views. The cottage is ideally placed to explore the stunning Cambrian Mountains and the Elan Valley with its Victorian dams and wildlife rich countryside. The Royal Welsh Showground is just ten miles away, making this a perfect base for the many activities held there. Stop off at the quaint market town of Rhayader, or perhaps take the opportunity to visit the historic spa town of Llandrindod Wells, with its pretty parks and local lakes. This part of Mid Wales is a popular walking destination and the whole area offers many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, with activities such as wildlife spotting, star gazing or cycling. A cosy retreat and ideal for discovering the surrounding fantastic countryside and for visiting local historic towns.

The scattered village of Crossgates sits amid wonderful wooded hills in Mid Wales, and has a general store and petrol station. Wonderful walking is on offer practically from the village itself, with trails and paths meandering their way through woodland and along rivers, or for more challenging terrain, simply drive the short distance to the nearby Cambrian Mountains or the spectacular Brecon Beacons.
