Llandrindod Wells, located in Powys, Wales (within the traditional confines of Radnorshire), is a cheery and welcoming community. The town is home to a number of historical landmarks, such as elaborate Victorian and Edwardian era buildings. Towards the end of August, Llandrindod Wells hosts its annual Victorian Festival, sometimes known as "Victorian Week" among locals. Some attendees like to dress the part by donning period-appropriate Victorian, Edwardian, or other antique garb, and many stores along the main street decorate their storefront windows accordingly. A variety of annual events take place here including the Radnor Fringe Festival in Rock Park and the Radnor Hall Theatre's Live Music, Comedy, and Theatre Festival. Llandrindod Wells' lake is a Victorian relic and a famous tourist destination to this day, making it an ideal spot for a family outing. The Radnor Indoor Bowls Centre and the Radnor Outdoor Bowling Club provide a fun afternoon of bowling for residents and visitors alike. The Radnorshire Museum, the Rock Park & Heritage Centre, and the National Cycle Museum are all worth checking out if you're interested in the region's past. As you travel across Temple Gardens, don't forget to stop at the statue of Thomas Jones. Beacon Hill is a lovely 4-mile track, and The Spa Walk offers gradual slopes and the chance to taste the waters at the Chalybeate Spring in Rock Park thanks to the town's rural location. Our main reason we chose Kerry hill was for our dog on firework night .. she is terrified of them and we usually have to sedate her :( We got this stay for a great price and was perfect for us especially now we have a little one (10 months) at the time of the stay. We had everything we needed. Aldi and tesco is just a 6min drive for any essential items (nappies and wipes for us!!) we had a takeaway first night which was lovely (leaflets/ recommendations in accommodation made it easy to choose) the town is a short 10min drive max where we had a few lunches out at some lovely pubs recommended at the accommodation. Cot bed, highchair and baby bath - supplied were perfect! We found three lovely pram friendly dog walks close by and also a soft play called Quackers where we had lots of fun after a long dog walk. We only heard a couple of fireworks on the 5th but were in the distance so our dog only reacted slightly for 30mins max and they were not very loud at all. so overall a great peaceful holiday for her! Faye!

Couldnât fault anything, comfortable bed, great shower, everything you need in a kitchen and a hot tub to relax in after a day out exploring. Enclosed garden was perfect for our 2 dogs. A lot of thought and care has been taken with these lodges, wouldnât hesitate to book again if we return to mid Wales.

Very well positioned for lits of days out. A few negative points. As mentioned in other reviews, the gates between the lodges are fairly low with open top sections so this did cause a few problems between ours and neighbouring dogs. The hot tub only had a privacy screen from one side so we didnât feel secluded and were overlooked by our neighbours. The hot water could do with knocking down a few degrees on the boiler as it nearly scalded our hands! One toilet roll isnât enough for two people on a three night stay. Plenty of positives though, the enclosed garden space is fantastic, our dogs had loads of room to play around in, the property was very clean and had all the amenities inside we couldâve asked for and the welcome pack for both humans and dogs was enjoyed by us all!
