Preacher's Cottage in Llandrindod Wells is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its tranquil and scenic location, comfortable furnishings, and excellent facilities including a regularly maintained hot tub. Guests appreciate the cottage's off-grid charm, the warm welcome from the hosts, and the thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers and a welcome pack. While most reviews are positive, noting the property's cleanliness and comfort, a few mention areas for improvement.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be spotlessly clean, with an abundance of clean towels provided. One review mentioned a fly infestation, but this seems to be an isolated incident rather than a common concern.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its peacefulness, beautiful scenery, and proximity to walking trails and local attractions. The lack of phone signal and Wi-Fi is seen as a positive aspect by many guests seeking a retreat from modern distractions.
Guests consistently mention the comfort of the beds and the cosy atmosphere provided by the log burner. The property is described as homely and welcoming, contributing to a relaxing break.
The facilities, especially the hot tub, are frequently highlighted as highlights of the stay. The well-equipped kitchen and the inclusion of a log burner are also appreciated. However, some guests noted that certain aspects, such as the bathroom and garden furniture, could benefit from some attention.
Many reviews mention the thoughtful gestures by the hosts, such as welcome packs, fresh flowers, and a helpful attitude. While these gifts are warmly received, it is important to note that such personal touches, although likely, are not guaranteed with every stay.
