The setting was lovely and rural. We had relaxing evenings by the fire and out in the hot tub. The house was huge, warm and well-equipped. The owners were great and very helpful. We had trips out to Montgomery (a lovely, quaint little village with castle ruins) and to Powys Castle. A good, reasonably priced meal can be found 10 minutes away at The Sarn pub. A lovely stay had by the whole family.

It was located in a quiet area but still only a short drive to a supermarket to stock up on food and drink. The owners were great and very helpful. The cottage was spacious with games and DVD's to entertain you.

We arrived to be greeted by the new owners who had arrived the same day. Through out the week they where very helpful and welcoming. The property had everything we needed including creaky staircases which added to the charm of the place. The hottub was a huge hit in the evening. The grounds are lovely with short walks around the ponds was ideal with a dog. Newtown is a short 10 minute drive and has all the amenities you could ask for, very dog friendly. Devils Bridge was a nice visit and then onto cardigan bay for fish and chips. Highly recommend this place and the best of luck to the new owners on their new adventure.
