Packed full of charm and undeniable character, this cosy cottage sits at the southern tip of the Snowdonia National Park for an enjoyable Mid-Wales getaway. In Aberdovey, on the banks of the Dyfi Estuary, you’re well-positioned to explore all kinds of coast and country adventures throughout your stay here. The pet-friendly cottage is within easy walking distance of a handful of country pubs, perfect for those who prefer not to cook whilst holidaying, and is just half a mile walk from the beach. The accommodation itself is a splendid three-storey offering that hosts a total of four guests, made for couples or small families.
There are two separate spaces for relaxing in this holiday home, including an utterly inviting lounge on the ground floor and a first-floor living space with marvellous sea views. You’ll first enter the downstairs lounge/diner where comfy seating is positioned around a wood burner effect gas fire, a fantastic place to sit with a book. Next move into the kitchen which is compact and thoughtfully laid out with everything you’ll need. On the first floor find the secondary living area and the property’s bathroom. Up on the second floor, two snug double bedrooms are laid out for restful nights, both with comfortable 4ft double beds to get curled up in at each evening’s end.
Aberdyfi Beach is a gentle stroll away, offering crab fishing from the jetty, unforgettable boat trips from the harbour or simply an afternoon of sunbathing on the wide expanse of sand. From here you can take a walk along the coastal path and north to Tywyn (4.5 miles), a picturesque harbour town. Another eclectic local destination is Machynlleth, just 10 miles away and worth the drive. Here you’ll find the fantastic MOMA Machynlleth, the history-packed Owain Glyndwr Centre and a Michel-starred restaurant for that unforgettable date night.
