Hendoll Cottage 1 is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its excellent location for walks and proximity to the beach. The property is described as cosy, clean, and well-equipped, offering a comfortable stay for both families and their pets. The enclosed garden is appreciated by dog owners, and the property's charm and character have led to repeat visits and recommendations.
Most guests found the cottage to be clean and tidy, with only a few isolated comments about dust, cobwebs, and minor cleanliness issues. The positive remarks far outweigh the negatives, indicating a high standard of cleanliness overall.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to the beach, and the availability of walks right from the doorstep. The scenic surroundings and easy access to local attractions contribute to a very positive perception of the cottage's location.
Guests generally found the cottage comfortable, mentioning its cosiness and warmth. However, there were comments about an uncomfortable mattress and the downstairs area being cold, which slightly lowers the score.
The cottage is considered well-equipped by most guests, with a well-furnished kitchen and a cosy wood burner. Some guests suggested improvements such as the addition of a vacuum cleaner and a larger cafetière, and there were issues with heating control and slippery stairs.
While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the owner. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Location is perfect, lots to do all around the area. Ray also drove all the way to us to resolve an issue we had very promptly. Perfect holiday.

Unfortunately, our July weather was more like that in April - cool, showery - and we couldn't use the cottage heating properly as there were no instructions for the thermostat/controller. The timer was set on double Summer Time, but didn't seem to switch on/off on a timer anyway. We managed to switch on & off the heating manually by raising or lowering the temperature setting. We didn't manage to get the radio to work, although it was switched on (and buzzing). We couldn't see the radio controls very well as ,like the thermostat, it was too high up - and no handbook. Otherwise, we had a good time, and would recommend the cottage. It is well maintained, clean and comfortable. Just needs some basic instructions, especially for the heating and what to do with rubbish.

Beautiful setting, right by the beach. Couldn't fault a thing. Will be back. Amber and family.
