Recently renovated loft conversion set in an idyllic location in Snowdonia National Park, with dramatic views of Y Rhinogydd Mountains. Inside the property you'll find an open plan kitchen/living area with underfloor heating, dining area, and a double bedroom with modern en suite bathroom. Ideally located for walking and cycling enthusiasts, there's no shortage of trails and hikes to explore nearby with direct access to many. Coed y Brenin Forest just around 1.5mi from your front door where you can take a woodland walk to Rhaeadr Mawddach and Pistyll Gain waterfalls or cycle down some exciting mountain biking routes. The nearby towns of Dolgellau and Blaenau Ffestiniog boats independent shops and eateries as well as numerous local activities such as Ffestiniog Railway, cycling at Antur Stiniog (14 mi) and adventure at Zip World Slate Caverns (15 mi). The beaches of Abermaw and Fairbourne are around 15 miles from the cottage as well as the coastal fortress of Harlech Castle.

We really enjoyed our stay in "Y Dowlod" at Gelli Goch. The properties here are in an excellent location for visiting the southern region of Snowdonia National Park and the Mawddach estuary, we didn't need to drive far to get anywhere and some days walked directly from the property. We liked the design and feel of the interior of our converted loft with the solid wooden flooring and slate worktops. It is cosy for two and was always warm when returning from a day out on the hills, it was even nicer to know that the place was heated and powered with a green energy system - even the toilet flushed with harvested rainwater! The mattress was a little hard for us but that might just be personal preference. Very friendly hosts and the welcome pack of goodies was a nice touch.

This is a great location for Dolgellau and Barmouth (south) and Criccieth, and Harlech (north then west). Plus easy access to the south sides of Snowdon. Very nice, compact and easy flat to stay
