An immaculately-presented, detached holiday cottage, in an elevated position offering stunning views of the Cader Idris mountain range, on the edge of the market town of Dolgellau. There are three quality bedrooms, a welcoming sitting room and luxury kitchen including comfy seating and TV. Outside this delightful Dolgellau holiday cottage there are two sitting areas, perfect for dining alfresco while enjoying the wonderful mountain view. Dolgellau's pretty town centre is only a five minute walk from this Dolgellau cottage, offering a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, and is a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful National Park and stunning coastline. This Dolgellau cottage is also close to a golf course and three miles from the renowned mountain bike centre at Coed-y-Brenin. Only eight miles away are the beautiful sandy beaches of Barmouth and Fairbourne, as well as Harlech Castle, a World Heritage Site. This is a quiet, peaceful location, ideal for outdoor activities amongst the superb scenery, mountains, forests, waterfalls, castles and beaches.

Yes, the drive is very steep, as others have commented, and going up it in first gear is highly recommended, but being high up high gives you the amazing views. Frankly, it's worth it! David was there to meet us, and is a very welcoming host, providing us with lots of recommendations for walks and eating out. The house itself is well equipped, warm and spacious. The location is excellent for getting into the mountains to walk, but also close enough to the coast for a change of scene if needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already planning our return trip !

The house was gleamingly clean, and the layout suits us perfectly. The kitchen is excellent. You get a lot of house for the cost. The house needs some minor maintenance but it didnât bother or affect us. Be aware that it has a short steep drive, like many local houses. We would stay again without hesitation. We probably will. You get a lovely view of the mountains.

Location perfect as a 10 min walk into Dolgellau with ample bars and restaurants to choose from. David gave lots of info prior to arriving about the house and the local area, including pubs , restaurants, beaches and walks which were very helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday and will definitely return
