Guests say

Penclogwynau is a highly praised cottage, celebrated for its idyllic, tranquil location with stunning 360-degree views. Guests consistently note the property's cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped nature. The extensive garden and cosy atmosphere are recurrent highlights, alongside the property's convenience for both walking and driving to local attractions. The warmth of the cottage and the thoughtful touches provided for both human and canine visitors contribute to its charm. While the majority of feedback is overwhelmingly positive, a few guests mentioned firm beds and the need for better kitchenware.

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews describing it as 'clean', 'well-maintained', and 'extremely clean'. The absence of any negative comments on cleanliness supports a near-perfect score.

The location is frequently lauded for its beauty, privacy, and convenience, with easy access to both the village and natural attractions. The stunning views and peaceful surroundings are particularly appreciated, justifying a high score.

Comfort is a strong suit for this property, with guests finding the cottage 'warm', 'cosy', and 'relaxing'. However, a minor deduction is made due to a few mentions of firm beds and flat pillows.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the well-equipped kitchen and the warmth of the cottage. However, there are comments about some kitchen items needing maintenance, such as wobbly handles on saucepans, which suggests room for improvement.

While the reviews reflect a high level of satisfaction with the thoughtfulness of the cottage's provisions, there is no specific mention of gifts. Therefore, it is not possible to score this category accurately, and the score is set to null.

This is a delightful, comfortable cottage in a beautiful location (360 degree views of mountains, fields, sheep and cows) yet only a short drive away from Dolgellau. We slept soundly every night and enjoyed the excellent shower pressure and WiFi. A good base for walking in the region too.
