Tan Y Fron is an excellent, detached house situated upon 2.5 acres of land in Dyffryn Ardudwy, North Wales. This three-storey, family-friendly property boasts a woodburning stove, electric fire, and off-road, driveway parking for six cars, making Tan Y Fron an idyllic base for a family or group of friends and three polite pets on a Wales getaway. Return from a Snowdonia National Park adventure and hop in one of three en-suite bathrooms or shower room to rinse off the mud that followed you home, while the utility washing machine takes care of your laundry. Relax in one of two sitting rooms, and toast your well-trekked toes by a woodburning stove or electric fire, while a scrumptious supper big enough for the whole family cooks away in two fully equipped kitchens. Dig in at a large, rustic dining table in the dining room with a window-framed, postcard countryside view keeping you company. The dishwasher volunteers for clean-up duty, so you’re free to soak up the last few rays of sun in the garden and spacious lawn with your pups. Cosy up with an evening film on the Smart TV in either sitting room, then settle in for the night in a double or twin bed waiting to catch you. Bask in the local beauty of Snowdonia National Park with scenic hikes to sites such as Cors y Gedol – Neolithic Site, take a well-deserved beach-day at Benar Beach, then top off the day with a bite at The Ysgethin Inn – just a stone’s throw from your property! Venture a little further afield for Barmouth Traeth Abermaw Beach, take a scenic stroll along Panorama Walk, Barmouth, and bask in the sight of Barmouth Bridge. Take a short drive to Portmeirion to explore The Dancing Tree park and gardens, visit Portmeirion Lighthouse, and get the finest views from Portmeirion estuary lookout. Countryside adventures wait to be explored when you book a stay at Tan Y Fron.
The pleasant village of Dyffryn Ardudwy quietly nestles between The Rhinogs, part of the Snowdonia Mountains, and the stunning golden beaches of the North Wales coastline. The unusual positioning of this charming village results in it having its own mild climate, as well as offering good local shops. The surrounding area has an exciting array of wildlife and birds including soaring buzzards. The small town of Harlech is just 4 miles away, dominated by its majestic 13th century castle which is a World Heritage Site, and the most impressive of all the castles built in North Wales by Edward I. Popular with golfers due to its famous Royal St. David's course, Harlech also boasts an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants. Nearby Barmouth offers an amazing Panorama Walk with breathtaking views and also a harbour from which you can enjoy a ferry to Fairbourne for a ride on the miniature railway or a boat trip out to sea to try mackerel fishing. With the delights of Snowdonia National Park and beautiful Cardigan Bay to discover, this is a fantastic holiday location at any time of the year.
