Plas Arenig is a characterful cottage praised for its cosy interior, beautiful views, and welcoming atmosphere. Guests enjoyed the log fire, spa bath, and the property's proximity to local attractions. While some minor maintenance issues were noted, the overall experience was positive, with the village's friendliness and the cottage's charm being standout features.
The cottage received high marks for cleanliness, with several guests describing it as spotless and tidy. However, one review mentioned a jacuzzi bath with cleanliness concerns, slightly affecting the score.
The location is highly praised for its beautiful views and convenience for hiking and exploring the area. The friendly village and access to both mountains and beaches were appreciated by guests.
Guests found the cottage comfortable, with cosy sofas and a warm log fire. However, some guests mentioned issues with beds and noise from the upstairs floor, which suggests room for improvement in this category.
The facilities were generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and a spa bath. However, there were several mentions of maintenance issues such as a tricky staircase, a poor WC flush, and a broken washing machine, leading to a lower score.
While some guests mentioned a welcome pack and the provision of logs for the fire, which indicates thoughtfulness, there is not enough consistent information across reviews to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

Really clean and tidy. Very pleased with location as a decent base for multiple activities. My son enjoyed the fire immensely too, thank you.

The cottage was absolutely spotless. Amazing! Only wish we'd had time to stay longer. We found cottage as described in write-up and pictures. Street level cosy characterful lounge/diner with toasty log-burner. Downstairs cute kitchen with beamed ceiling on ground level leads directly into rear garden with patio which was just up our street. Hubby is 6ft 2 and yes he stood between the beams when in the kitchen but at 5ft6 no adjustment required for me beneath the beams as probably had 3 inches to spare. Loved the stone window sill and we had a couple of nice oven cooked dinners from the Belling and used the hobs and microwave too during our stay. Modern bathroom was well done and cosy too. Easy electric shower. We enjoyed living on three levels and going up and down stairs which goes with the territory living at the top of a hill. Views were amazing from rear windows and garden when the cloud blew over; it does blow in fast and we had a storm for 2 days. The local shop and the coffee house/bar downhill from us were both great and easy to reach. We parked roadside between the cottage and village shop but we could have used the carpark in the village. We would recommend the cottage and stay again in the future. We say see beyond no parking directly outside as unloading/loading you can pull over and unload/load literally outside the door as we tried and tested it.
