Yr Hen Dy is consistently praised for its cosy charm, stunning views, and excellent location for exploring Snowdonia. Guests appreciate the warm welcome from the host and the cottage's well-equipped nature. The proximity to attractions and the inclusion of a log burner add to the property's appeal, although there are some minor comments about cleanliness and maintenance.
Most guests found the cottage to be clean and comfortable. However, a few mentioned issues with cleanliness in specific areas such as the main bedroom carpet and behind kitchen appliances. These seem to be isolated incidents rather than a general trend.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views, privacy, and proximity to local attractions, including Snowdonia, Harlech Beach, and various walks right from the doorstep. It's considered central and convenient for exploring the region.
Guests describe the cottage as comfortable, cosy, and warm, with a great fire and comfy beds. The living space is appreciated for its cosiness, and the property is deemed suitable for relaxation after exploring the local area.
The cottage is well-equipped with a good kitchen, efficient central heating, and a log burner. Some guests suggested minor improvements and repairs, and there were comments about the lack of Wi-Fi and some blunt kitchen knives.
While guests mention the host's warm welcome and the provision of logs for the burner, there are no specific references to gifts. Therefore, it's not possible to assess the thoughtfulness based on gifts, and the score is set to null.

The living room with the fire place is stunning and very relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped. The children were very happy in their bedrooms and the main double bed was extremely comfortable, we had very good nights sleep. A great location on the edge of the village with a beautiful view of the valley from the patio. The gorge walk from the door of the property is well worth doing and you are close to the main area of Snowdonia. We would definitely recommend the property to others. John was very helpful and accommodating, thank you.
