  • This magnificent Harlech coastal holiday home once belonged to the benevolent Cadbury Quaker family, the famous chocolate manufacturers.It was built in 1904 by an army Colonel who had spent time in South Africa during the Boer War and its design reflects the architecture of the Boers with Dutch gables and a red tiled roof.
  • The interior is reminiscent of the sumptuousness of the Edwardian period with a wealth of antique furniture balanced by stylish fabrics in curtains, bedding and walls covered in the owner's and her family's art work.
  • Three of the stylish and distinctive bedrooms have French windows leading out onto the balcony, holiday guests will be captivated by the magnificent bay, 3 bedrooms have En-Suite shower rooms.
  • Hafod Wen offers something for everyone - stunning views, great walks from the doorstep and the children will love the pavilion and play area.
  • The helpful owners live on site in an entirely separate wing and there is a completely independent cottage ~ Cottage at Hafod Wen (Ref 1253) ~ entered through a garden room at the rear of Hafod Wen with its own patio and lawn.

  • The beautiful gardens are not to be outdone by the incredible views - there are some 8 acres of shared grounds to enjoy. Garden enthusiasts may find them of particular interest!
  • Children and adults alike will love to wander and discover secret little lawns and footpaths of this Harlech holiday home and there is a bowling green and pavilion which holiday guests are encouraged to use and a children's play area.
  • The gardens are the ideal place to relax and unwind - enjoy long, relaxed breakfasts and lunches on the outside terrace or take a stroll around the grounds with a mug of coffee. stopping to sit and admire the views from the terraced areas.
  • This is also a working garden with orchards, vegetable garden and beehives.
  • The owners, who live at the rear of the property, are happy to help arrange various activities such as mountain bike hire, book 'tee off' time, find active adventure packages, provide local maps and arrange walks of particular interests, including conducted local garden tours.

Separate bathroom, corner bath only. and hand shower. Children's pull out bed available by prior arrangement. All on 1st floor.
