Guests appreciate the comfortable furnishings and the homely feel, with some thoughtful touches like welcome gifts enhancing their stay. While most found the property to be a delightful base for exploring North Wales, a few noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance.

Reviews indicate a mix of experiences regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the property well-kept, while others reported issues with cleanliness in the kitchen appliances, bathrooms, and living areas. The presence of both positive and negative feedback suggests that cleanliness is generally satisfactory but with room for improvement.

The location of Castle Lodge is highly praised for its proximity to Harlech Castle, local shops, and eateries. Guests are enamoured by the stunning views and the convenience of the location for exploring the surrounding area, making it an exceptional feature of the property.

The majority of guests find the property comfortable, with spacious rooms and cosy furnishings. Some concerns were raised about the adequacy of heating and the quality of pillows, but overall, the comfort level is regarded as high, contributing to a pleasant stay.

Facilities at Castle Lodge are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and additional amenities like an Xbox and Netflix. However, some guests noted maintenance issues such as problems with the woodburner and oven. These mixed experiences suggest that while facilities are good, attention to maintenance could enhance them further.

Guests often mention welcome gifts, which add a thoughtful touch to their arrival, although it's important to note that such gifts are a pleasant surprise rather than a guaranteed amenity. The property's provision of items to facilitate a comfortable stay reflects a considerate approach by the hosts.

We found it comfortable and clean. It is in a lovely location over looking the castle and not to far to travel around to all the towns and attractions in North Wales.

It’s perfect for us and our four teenage children and dog! We’ve stayed here five times and hope to return again. The location is incredible right next to the castle and close to the shops. The beautiful beach and amazing mountain walks are nearby. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone else.

Great property next to Harlech castle. Communication with owner prior to stay was first class and owner provided lots of tips of things to do (was our first hol in North Wales) My son loved having a gaming room area - yes probably shouldn’t be gaming on hol but as weather unpredictable and son at an age where he likes his own space worked well for us. Harlech is a lovely village, great deli, ice cream parlour and local shop a couple of mins walk away. Harlech beach great, esp for early morning dog walks. Only downside was parking at the property - narrow entrance which would have been ok if those parking on the street had parked more considerably. Will definitely book again and highly recommend.
