Tan Y Fedwen is a well-received holiday cottage in North Wales, praised for its cleanliness, stunning location with sea views, and spaciousness. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, hot tub, and the property's suitability for families and large groups. The enclosed garden and proximity to the beach are also highlights, contributing to a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it was very clean upon arrival. Only a few minor instances of overlooked areas were noted, which do not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback.
The location is highly praised for its breathtaking views, proximity to the beach, and quiet setting. It serves as a great base for exploring Snowdonia and enjoying sunsets. Some guests noted the rocky beach and limited local activities, but overall, the location is considered excellent.
Guests find the property comfortable, with spacious rooms and a warm atmosphere. The beds are described as very comfortable, and the garden provides a good play area. Some feedback suggests room for improvement in seating comfort and the provision of larger towels.
Facilities like the hot tub, well-furnished kitchen, and secure outdoor space are appreciated. However, some guests mentioned a lack of certain kitchen items, issues with the hot tub temperature, and a desire for additional bathroom facilities. The upcoming addition of a wood burner is anticipated.
While many guests express gratitude for the owner's helpfulness and the property's amenities, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

The size was amazing. The sunsets are as beautiful as the picture shown. Would highly recommend. Owner was super helpful with any requests we had. Having the farm shop and bar so close was very convenient. Loved our week away.

The pans were not large enough for size of the group (there were 8 of us). The wine glasses were a throw back to the 1970's, there were no large tumblers nor champagne flutes. The plastic glasses for outside had cracks in them. It would of been nice to have seat cushions on the conversatory chairs. We could not get part of the oven to work and there were no instruction manuals for any of the appliances. Disappointing that there was nothing in way of a welcome pack which is very surprising! These points did not spoil a great weekend but are the difference that would make the property excellent and would not cost a lot to rectify.

We spent a week a Tan Y Fedwen with extended family with ages ranging from 9 -79yrs. The property is well equipped with a full kitchen that allows you to cater for large parties like ours easily. The grounds are great giving the youngest in our party the space to run around, and play. The hot tub was a hit with us all although the oldest in our party did find accessing it a bit challenging. A pathway on the property leads you down to the local beach which is very rocky but nevertheless a lovely place to sit and take in some sea air. Within the local area things to do are limited but there's plenty if you venture just a little further away with Tywyn & Barmouth a short drive or train drive away. All in all we booked this holiday as a relaxing family break and this is exactly what we got - would definitely consider returning in the future.
