Cuddfan is a well-received cottage in Porthmadog, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and ideal location close to local amenities and attractions. Guests appreciate the well-equipped space, though some suggest minor improvements. It's a hit with families and pet owners, offering a homely base for exploring North Wales.
The cottage is consistently described as clean and tidy, indicating high standards of cleanliness. One mention of flies suggests a minor issue, but overall, the property is well-maintained.
The location is highly praised for being quiet yet convenient, with easy access to local shops, pubs, and attractions. Its proximity to Snowdonia and the beach adds to its appeal.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, especially the beds. However, one review mentions that the sofas could be more comfortable, slightly impacting the score.
Facilities are considered comprehensive, with everything needed for a stay. Suggestions for a kitchen bin, scissors, and a washing machine indicate room for improvement.

Resting centrally in Tremadog, a quaint village near the coastline of Gwynedd is Cuddfan, a well-positioned mid-terrace property. Conveniently located near a range of amenities, and a short drive from both the beach and Snowdonia National Park, Cuddfan makes the ideal base for a family of four, looking to explore North Wales with their four-legged friends. Park up on the roadside before entering the welcoming sitting room, complete with a log burner, plush seating, and a TV with Chromecast, providing guests with access to Netflix. Venture into the well-equipped kitchen/diner, dotted with culinary appliances to ease your self-catered stay, where you can dine indoors or outdoors upon the rear patio. When sleep calls, head upstairs to refresh in the shower room, before selecting between a double and a twin bedroom. Awaken to a fun-filled itinerary, starting off local at Black Rock Llamas, or a tour of the Maritime Museum, or perhaps a seaside stroll along Morfa Bychan Beach. A short car journey away will bring you to Harlech and its stunning castle, overlooking the turquoise waters at Harlech Beach, before venturing north to explore the national park. Be spoilt for choice when embarking on your journey, with the chance to visit Beddgelert Forest and Grave, tour Sygun Copper Mine, follow the walking trail across Aber Glaslyn Pass, climb up to the summit of Snowdon, enjoy a fabulous vantage point from Glyder Fawr, or zip across the county at Zip World Llechwedd. All of this, and more, can be enjoyed at Cuddfan.
The settlement of Tremadog is found on the outskirts of Porthmadog, Gwynedd, where you’ll find several local businesses, a variety of pubs, a restaurant, a fish and chip store, a spar, and other establishments in this village. The bigger coastal town of Porthmadog, which offers a wider range of amenities to satisfy all needs, is only one mile away. Additionally, visitors can utilise Tremadog as a base to explore miles of countryside, including Wales' tallest mountain, woodlands, beaches, and locations steeped in endearing history, as the community sits on the edge of the renowned Snowdonia National Park. The seaside town of Harlech lies further away; here, you may stroll down the beach, see the majestic mediaeval castle, or sit in a café and take in the view of the ocean. Portmeirion, an Italian-style village nearby, and Criccieth, a town, are both well worth a visit. Tremadog is a charming village that is perfect for discovering North Wales.

Cuddfan is very well equipped and ideally situated for bus links and amenities around the local area. Will definitely visit again next time I walk the area.

Small enclosed garden at the back is ideal for the dogs. Parking not an issue as normally a space on the roadside at the front. 2 min walk to shop and pubs and stops. Only thing lacking in the kitchen is a washing machine which is handy for longer stays. Otherwise all great. Definitely stay here gain when I'm up next.
