The apartment was in a good location, close to amenities and beach.
It was exactly as advertised and we were happy with it, on the whole. The bay itâs self itâs fantastic with a gorgeous dog friendly beach 10 minutes walk away. Positives: Dog friendly Close to amenities As described WiFi worked well Nice views of courtyard from bedroom windows Negatives: There was a couple of areas which we felt let down the property, for example there was only around a quarter of a toilet roll in the bathroom, with no additional rolls provide. Firstly we didnât feel this was hygienic (From a COVID perspective) as it was obviously left by the previous occupants who would have touched it, and itâs not as though it could have been sanitised afterwards. It was also inconvenient as there is no shop onsite. Also, there was only about 2 âsquirtsâ worth of liquid soap in the bathroom. Again this isnât great especially at the moment when weâre all so keen to wash hands more often. We did pack hand sanitizer so it wasnât a massive issue but again, itâs just the details that make you wonder what else has been missed. The fridge was extremely noisy, it seems like the fan isnât working correctly and there was a constant and fairly loud hum. We were only there for 2 nights so didnât bother us too much, but it probably would be annoying if staying for longer. We would definitely return to the bay, but weâd likely chose a different property next time around.

The holiday started on a bad not as after a long tiring journey the reception on the site told us we werenât entitled to the leisure pass weâd been promised.
After a few conversations and contact with Sykes we eventually got the pass which we used everyday. The flat was well equipped for a short stay and was a stones throw from the leisure centre and pub which was very handy. The furniture and bed was very comfortable and we slept well for the whole week. Our little Frenchy Leo loved the area and enjoyed his many walks to the lovely nearby beach. Another problem in the flat was that the dining table was too wobbly to use but again a quick phone call and this was sorted within a couple of days. We enjoy touring the area and visited the three local resorts of Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough. We found parking a bit of a pain as some car parks are cash only or an app called Ringo which we didnât have and trying to load it on 4g was a pain. If you like pies we highly recommend the local dog friendly Piebald Inn which is a real ale pub and has a massive range of pies to choose from but make sure you are hungry as the portions are very large. All in all we had a lovely time at Sunny Bay which we highly recommend as we would definitely book it again.

The apartment was well equipped, spacious for a couple.
The bathroom was good and the hot water was great. The cleanliness of apartment could have been better, lots of dust and the communal hallway had a musty smell. Although there was a notice in the apartment saying extra cleaning had been in place due to covid-19 and the remote controls, hairdryer etc had been sterilise and placed in plastic bags they had not! We brought our own bedding and towels, the bed was not very comfortable but we expected that. The juliet balcony was nice for the late afternoon sun however the occupants below often had a cigarette at their outside table so this filled our bedroom with cigarette smoke. The site was very good, the pub was just across the road, we did use the pub a couple of times but we did not like how many dogs there was in the dining area, people feeding them at the table! We saw one cock its leg on the wall and nobody bothered but we are not dog people. We thought that the apartment was OK but was expensive and the cleanliness let it down, the site was good and it's an ideal base to explore the Yorkshire coast. We would go again but would do more research.

Had a nice stay with my dog but it's a studio not a one bed apartment.
Not much room between bed and table so have lovely bruises on my thigh thanks to the bedpost corner. Flooded the bathroom as no instructions left as to which tap worked which shower head. Could have done with an eye mask as the overhead light was on from dusk till dawn and the blinds aren't blackout ones. Read other reviews and took a digital indoor aerial with me which I stuck to the window. TV worked as normal after retuning to aerial setting otherwise you have to sign in to each app. The instructions were there for the TV but they didn't work as previous occupants had attached It to a laptop and not reset it. It was well equipped and short walk to shops and bus station and across the road from The Spa. Sam the caretaker was lovely. She sorted the problem I had with the central heating but then it had problems again. Only there 4 nights and it was warm anyway so didn't bother her again. Wouldn't stay again though.

We have stayed at Easby Hall four other times but never at this apartment. We were met by the caretaker, Chris, who gave us a lovely, friendly welcome and took us through the apartment in a very comprehensive way. All the apartments in the building have a different configuration so it was very helpful to be guided through things, especially things like which windows opened ( they are large sash windows and so it’s important not to force them). The property is very bright and spacious and was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. We had varied weather and it was cosy and warm on cold, wet days but bright and airy on hot ones. It was the best apartment we have stayed in in that building and we will certainly return.
