Robert Burns House

Scotland’s infamous national bard Robert Burns spent his last years in this house, which has now become a pilgrimage for Burns’ fans and famous poets from all over the world. In the house, we see how the poet and his family lived in the late eighteenth century, including some of Burns' original manuscripts and personal belongings; and the desk and chair in his study where he wrote many of his best works. Partly accessible due to steps and narrow staircases. Gift shop.

Annandale Distillery

Annandale Distillery was established in 1836 and was reopened/refurbished in 2014 after being closed for over a 100 years (1918). It now offers several different guided tours of the distillery with tasting sessions. Gift shop, cafe and bar onsite. Parking and level access, The tour route is partly accessible.

Caerlaverock Castle

Tourists and locals alike enjoy visiting this intriguing castle. An imposing castle with a triangular shape, a moat surrounding it, twin towered gatehouses, and imposing battlements, this castle is a sight to behold. Carlisle Cathedral

The Cathedral was first built in the 12th century and has an impressive architecture and decor.
