This is a beautiful and comfortable property.
We spent a delightful week and enjoyed the peace, the views and the hot tub. It is well located for visiting the beach at Northam Burrows and other popular tourist spots such as Rosemoor (RHS), Hartland Point, Bideford, The Tarka Trail and others. The house is spacious and well equipped. My only criticism is that, despite the sloped access to the front door, inside the house there were several deep steps from the hallway to the dining room and from the dining room to the kitchen. My mother is now elderly and disabled. She uses a stick in the house and a mobility scooter when out and about. The bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor and same level were great, but the steps were a persistent problem. I noticed a recent previous guest reviewed with the same point.

The property was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.
It would have been better if the outside space we had was a little more private but it certainly didnt stop us from making use of it. The property waszadverised as working farm, we are early risers so not an issue for us but may be worth mentioning on the listing that tractors and quads will be moving around the farm from 7am. As the bedrooms are all downstairs the sound of the machinery is very loud. Not really an issue for us as our children wake up early anyway but guests wanting a layin would have struggled. Overall we had a lovely stay and didnt experience any problems. The owners made contact when we first arrived and were quite to respond to any questions we had.

The garden was unkempt with the grass over grown and plants left to go wild.
The cushions for the garden furniture was locked in a garden box but no key was available. The script suggests having dinner âal frescoâ however the furniture was not suitable for a meal, being so low, coffee table. There were 5 black bin liners full of rubbish, empty bottles & cardboard box from previous visitors outside back door. There were no manuals for any of the machines/equipment - the coffee machine didnât work. Only one toilet roll was left at the property. Reviews in the Visitor Book mentioned a Welcome Pack but there was nothing for us. Parking was difficult - we only managed to park once outside Daisy Cottageâ¦..overall we were disappointed.

A beautiful cottage with everything you will need.
The pictures donât actually do the cottage justice, its immaculately clean with a well equipped kitchen and very spacious rooms, with 2 lovely enclosed gardens - one small which is accessible via the lounge room and a large rear garden which has far reaching views. We loved having our breakfast in the rear garden watching the playing lambs. The lounge room is very comfortable and the pool table is a great addition. Itâs a great base to explore the area then coming back to relax in the hot tub. We have had a great week and would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage and look forward to visiting again.

Lovely accommodation, spacious, well equipped and very comfortable.
The Corn Tallet overlooks the farmyard, we enjoyed watching the sheep outside the window and we were not woken early like other reviews have stated. Dog friendly and although no enclosed garden it has a green area out the back with a very handy washing line. You can also walk your dog across the farmerâs land as long as on the lead. Pool was great and quite warm, even in the rain! The pool rota was good but was a shame we couldnât use the pool when we arrived as we were looking forward to a swim after a long journey. The gentleman farmer was always friendly and very helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay.
