This cottage has so much to offer but we left feeling disappointed and having spent up to a day of our holiday dealing with unnecessary problems.
There are two key errors in the listing. Firstly, the checkout time is advertised as being 10am when it is actually a rigid 9am. This would not be a problem for most but we have a disabled son who struggles in the morning so we had to leave the night before. We had this issue hanging over us for most of the week - we raised the issue on the Monday but didn't get a definitive response until the Thursday (and then had to start packing to leave that night). Secondly, there is no washer-dryer (not a problem for us but would be for others). We had to wait in twice for the lovely maintenance man. There were no instructions for the heating and despite our best efforts with Google, we could not get it working on a cold October day. This was easily avoidable. We then had problems with the bathroom door sticking and nearly got locked in so had to call for help again. The toilet roll holder was also falling off and clattering in the night so that required fixing. There was a lack of instructions in the property so we spent quite a while trying to figure out the TV and took a while to master the hob. The instructions for putting the bin out were incorrect so we moved it from the back of the house to the front when it wasn't needed - not a problem for us but might have been for more elderly guests. Again all avoidable things. Much of the cottage is so beautifully furnished and designed but why have a broken clock in the kitchen (we tried changing the batteries), a missing lamp in one of the bedrooms, a door on the bathroom cabinet that needed tightening up as it was starting to drop and mould on a corner of the bath? As stated above, we spent a lot of time trying to resolve problems. It isn't the way you want to spend your holiday. We have never left a negative review before. There is so much about this cottage that is great -and had circumstances been different, we would have been looking to rebook - but we left feeling let down by a plethora of completely unnecessary issues which detracted from our holiday. (PS - and not part of the review - we did not know how to rate our Sykes experience as we dealt with Manor Cottages)

Please leave some instructions about the footpaths into the town centre as the alternative is a much longer journey.
I believe this has been mentioned before but there was nothing in the property notes. There are no instructions for any of the equipment (the guide stated that they were in a draw next to the sink). We couldn't find them anywhere. (Especially information on smoke alarms and the heating). If you needed to change the temperature there is no access to a theromstat for us to do this- the instructions are to ring Manor Cottages, so they can do it ? I've never stayed anywhere before where you couldn't regulate your own heating. Make it clear that there are 2 key safes. The one we needed to access was covered by a very large plant. Please provide travel instructions for people that are coming from other parts of the country - not just from the South.

A really lovely cottage in a great location, easy walking distance into the centre of Broadway and a great base for exploring further afield into the Cotswolds.
Beautifully decorated and accessorised, as in the photos. Blossom Cottage was brilliantly equipped with almost everything youâd need for a short stay. Really impressed with the amount of kitchen utensils, pots and pans. Made it very easy to cook meals in the cottage rather than eat out. A real home from home. We had a problem with the travel cot on arrival but this was dealt with by the caretaker and resolved within 24hrs. The Lygon Arms kindly allowed us to borrow one of their cots for the night (highly recommend this place for a delicious dinner or drinks in the courtyard) One suggestion would be a washing line (either a rotary or retractable) as I really appreciated the washing machine but nowhere to dry outside!

The holiday was spoilt by the neighbours.
They had 3 noisy children in the back yard shouting and kicking a ball against the fence. But the worst problem by far was 2 barking dogs. They were completely out of control, barking constantly both in the garden and in the house - also fighting with each other and snarling. It made it impossible to sit out in the garden and we could even hear them in the house. We did report this to the owner, and also made the neighbours aware but to our knowledge no action was taken. We actually left early as we could no longer stand it. We have stayed at Morris Road before and found it to be a lovely house but we would not return whilst these neighbours are still in residence.

Loved this property, 2 minutes walk from the beautiful Broadway , the house itself was very clean and well laid out, good rear garden, thereâs a convenient down stairs toilet within the utility room .
The owners have left everything you could think of the Kitchen had everything we needed, both bedroom are very well presented and comfy bed. The only downside was the Parking , we did park over the road outside the Catholic Church (all legal) itâs a side road , we did have a note left under the wiper say YOU cannot park here itâs a private road and old people use it for Mass, It would only fit 3/5 cars and there were 2 cars there all week which never moved, the note we think was put there by the big house right by the church, so if you cannot find anywhere to park we found it perfectly ok to park there â¦..Definitely worth a stay
