What our customers say about their holidays

**Review for Vantage Point Accommodation** Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the accommodation was fantastic!

However, there were a few areas for improvement that we noticed during our visit: - The main double bedroom with the heating system was quite noisy, producing a knocking sound. Soundproofing the cupboard could help avoid disturbing guests. - None of the bedroom doors had locks, except for the bathroom and toilet. It would be helpful to have child-friendly locks for added privacy. - The bottom drawer of the freezer was broken. - In the double bedroom to the left of the stairs, we found a spider in the bed sheets. This might be due to how or where the sheets are stored. - It would have been helpful to know ahead of time that the sauna wasn’t working, especially as this was one of the key features that influenced our booking. - The main door leading to the jacuzzi area didn’t lock, so we had to place items near it at night for extra security. - Since we traveled in winter, the living room was quite cold, and it seemed the owners controlled the heating. Thankfully, reception provided us with two electric heaters, which made a big difference. - The whirlpool jets in the baths need better maintenance. We experienced floating debris when turning on the jets, which was unpleasant. These are just some housekeeping issues we noticed during our stay. That said, Vantage Point was absolutely stunning, and it was such a pleasure waking up to the beautiful views every day. We were welcomed with a lovely Christmas tree, mince pies, and some local treats, which added a festive touch to our visit. We’ll definitely consider returning during the warmer months—thank you for the wonderful experience!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Garden House and the team were very helpful.

The swimming pools and grounds are beautiful and we loved making use of them. Regarding the house, it was very comfortable, but we felt there could be improvements. Problems we had during the stay were sorted out very promptly. There was a lot to clean and it was satisfactory, but not excellent. The kitchen cupboards need a jolly good sort out. About 50 wine glasses and two rolling pins but only eight mugs. Not ONE cupboard to put food in for eight. No decent roasting tins. We didn’t use the house outside space much as there was no sun after 1pm. Some of the seals had gone on the windows and need replacing. One under counter oven wasn’t big enough for eight. Furniture was very comfortable and the main living room was great. The windows in the children’s bedroom were very condensated in the morning and the curtains and bedding did get damp. Showers and bathrooms were good. We were disappointed that there was dog poo under the climbing wall in the adventure playground one morning and our grandchild narrowly avoided stepping in it.

After the initial wow factor of this property you start to notice it's failings, It was clearly a very stylish and well planned property much loved by it's owners as the furnishings and fittings clearly show, but now the property looks clearly un-loved!

. Please read following: Dead mouse found in bathroom cupboard in bedroom nearest to parking space. Skylight dirty needs cleaning. Decking needs a clean and re-sealing. Hand rail around the decking needs re- sealing. Glass banister around decking needs cleaning, covered in green algae at the edges and full of spiders webs. Pots on decking need weeding. The garden below the decking and each side of the drive way needs sorting, it's over grown and migrating on to the already narrow drive (about 3 MTRS wide) then over grown on to it, it looks like it was well planned but not maintained or looked after. Patio furniture in poor condition, it's usable but the hardwood table top needs sealing and some of the chairs have the paint off them leaving corroded aluminium behind. Overall we had a good stay and were well catered for views of wild life were wounderful, fixing the above would have made it perfect. Overall I would say the property was a 3+/4- out of 5. Would we come back? Probably! Although the beds were VERY firm for us.

      It was a lovely house.

The actual street address isn't as sexy as Babbacombe Hall but the location is really central to get to a number of lovely places, often on foot. The bedrooms are lovely and all well appointed. I doubt the lounge could really accommodate the whole group if the maximum advertised number was present but we were only 10 or 11 and actually tended to congregate evenings in the dining room. The kitchen is well equipped but the ovens and hob were a bit slow and would lack capacity to prepare meals for a full complement. There isn't much preparation space but we managed very well. We had a professional chef for one evening and brought in the BBQ tables for extra prep space. The house was lovely. I find that Sykes is easy to book with but if you have any out of the ordinary requests, the process is deliberately vague for getting answers.

Had a very comfortable stay in this lovely house.

Having the Hot Tub and garden maintained daily meant it was easy to use either whenever we wanted to - and we did. The House had enough equipment for all of us which was great, though a cupboard/space just for storing our food would have been useful. We really enjoyed being so close to the promenade, the Tessier Gardens, the Model village and the shops and having leaflets in the house made it easy to find other places to visit. Having our own parking space was a big relief as we had 3 biggish cars between us and parking is at a premium in seaside towns. I would highly recommend staying here for itself and as a good base for the 'English Riviera'. PS would also recommend the Local History society's free walk round Babbacombe / St Marychurch (every Tuesday in summer) - interesting and informative. Thank you
