What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mrs Rebecca Byrne - Verified booking

The only reason we may not book again, is the distance from home, this was our first Northumberland holiday and it's very long drive from Worcestershire. However, the shared facilities (especially the pool and tennis court) were fantastic and made the holiday very good value, despite the cost of the petrol to get there! The score of 4 for accuracy was because it was not clear in the details that the property was all on one floor with the bathroom opening into the kitchen area. I've scored the equipment 4, because I couldn't find a measuring jug or a garlic press, both of which I expected from the list provided. Neither were insurmountable, just a minor inconvenience given that because of the remote location, we cooked most days. Overall, we were pleased with the stay and if fuel prices improve, we might be back :-)

    • Mrs Emma Hrubiak - Verified booking

Overall a great family break - excellent communication beforehand and during our time there. Property was lovely and better equipped than expected. High standard of crockery and appliances. A couple of slight negatives; The comfort of dining table - the table top has a deep farmhouse style top which looks lovely but quite tight to our legs when sitting on the chairs Mattresses were all very soft which wouldn’t be our choice- realise that some people like this. However, when up for replacement it might be worth considering something more mid range of firmness. The shower wasn’t brilliant- because of this we chose to take all our showers at the onsite pool facility. Facilities available on site were great and we made good use of them. So much to see and do in the locality, Great holiday Thanks

This is our first visit to Northumberland and we enjoyed every minute of it! The cottage is lovely and very well equipped and we actually relaxed! The neighbors are friendly and helpful. The beach at Bamburgh is lovely and the dog loved it too – liked The Copper Kettle for lunch. Would highly recommend: Lollo Rosso in Morpeth – the lasagna was one of the nicest i’ve had! If you go, go between 5-6 it is happy hour. We went on Tuesday evening and by 6 it was really busy so best to book. Loved Warkworth – very pretty. Thanks for the lovely welcome pack – a very much appreciated special touch. Hopefully we’ll be back again.

A fabulously comfortable and quiet cottage. There was birdsong all day and quite literally hopping hares in the field outside which were my personal highlights! We loved the coastline, the villages, the boat trip to see the puffins and seals on the Farne Islands. Holy Island was a special place as we’d hoped. Special mention to the charming National Trust volunteers at Cragside and Lindisfarne Castle – what a well told story. Hope all future guests have an equally relaxing and fun time. Thank you for the wonderful, well-thought out and generous welcome hamper.

Thank you for a fabulous stay! Beautifully equipped and comfortable cottage in a delightful part of the country. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, great location for visiting lots of interesting locations. The children enjoyed all the facilities on site (pool, tennis courts, trampoline, horses, sheep and chickens). Unexpected bonus was The Bosk restaurant on site, beautiful food and service - you need to book in advance though. We all loved our stay and would love to return again. Thank you.
