Alnwick Castle is located less than a mile away from the A1. From the A1 follow signposts for Alnwick Castle until you reach the main car park, which is just off Denwick Lane.
Alnwick Castle would love for you to travel by public transport and they’ll offer you a 20% reduction on ‘castle only’ tickets if you arrive by train. The East Coast train line from London to Edinburgh stops at Alnmouth station. You can either catch the X18 bus for 10 minutes or hail a taxi for the final four miles of the journey.
The X15 and X18 buses both run from Haymarket Station in Newcastle Upon Tyne. There are also a number of other buses from nearby towns that stop at Alnwick bus station, which is a five-minute walk from the castle.
