The Tyn Y Buarth cottage was so clean and well presented and we were so impressed with the amount of amenities left for us e.
G. toilet roll, dishwasher tablets, hand wash etc. It really made our stay fuss free and we had a really enjoyable time. There were 6 adults and one infant staying in the house and there was plenty of room, we didnât feel like we were on top of each other, and every room was beautifully furnished, clean and so well kept, everything looked and felt brand new! We had trouble finding the cottage based on the instructions on the email that was sent to us, they need updating and correcting and making much clearer but once we found it we were so impressed with the location, the garden and the house itself is beautiful. My only bit of constructive feedback really is very minor and didnât taint our holiday it would have just made things even more perfect: there are only blinds in the bedrooms not curtains as well so a lot of light is let in, the bedrooms would be better if there were curtains; we felt that the sofas were big and comfortable but we could have done with a separate chair as well in the living room; the tap in the main bathroom was a bit stiff to switch on and it would have been nice to have been provided with a toothbrush holder. As I said they werenât major things but just slight little tweaks that would have made it perfect. Over all we were so happy with our stay and would highly recommend the house and the location, and would happily stay here again!

The cottage is in a nice location.
It is in a quiet lane. No parking on that street for this cottage? But other cottages park on the street Parking is difficult, but a permit is provided. This didn't work well for us as my mom is 80 so there was a lot of moving of the car to make sure she didn't have to walk too far. Cottage was well equipped in the kitchen. Has everything you need. Bedroom with bunk bed was good and comfortable. Main bedroom was clean but bed was very uncomfortable. You can feel slats of bed through mattress. Bathroom is small but clean. Shower didn't work well for my 6foot3 husband. He couldn't stand up straight in the shower. Floors downstairs on arrival weren't cleaned well but overall was clean. May need the rug in living room cleaning as smelt of dogs. I personally moved it so my dogs didn't wee on it to cover other smells. Garden is small but useable. Shame there was no access to shared larger garden. Harlech is quiet. Has a few shops and chemist. No general store. Has Indian, Chinese and chip shop but only open certain days. Café on main square was really nice and did really good hot chocolate. Would we stay again? Probably not as not really suitable for our needs. Information folder in cottage needs a complete overhaul. Not been updated for a great deal of time. It looks as though other users of the cottage have done updates themselves!

A totally 5 star experience.
Tyn Y Buarth is located in an idyllic position between Barmouth and Harlech around 25 mins walk to beach. The house exceeded all our expectations, immaculate from top to bottom and managed to feel like "home from home" within moments of arriving, to the point that I would have liked to swap if for our own house! Bryony, the owner popped in to say hello, to check everything was OK and even brought us some food to feed to their sheep. Attention to detail was amazing and I have to say everything we could have needed from egyptian cotton bed linen to crockery of all types to every cooking utensil you could ever need was provided. We were very lucky to have superb weather (early September) and made use of the bbq on one evening with a perfect sunset to watch in the background. We would highly recommend Tyn Y Buarth and would happily say it is the best self catering accommodation that we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. We hope to return again for another stay in the future.

We had another fab holiday in beautiful North Wales made even more wonderful in this beautiful cottage.
The setting was just perfect, so tranquil. Perfect for exploring North Wales. The Cottage had everything we needed and enough space for everyone. A large living room and kitchen diner and garden( with a bbq) for our family to spend quality time together, but also enough space to have some alone time. It was immaculate both inside and out. You could see the attention to detail and the personal touch from the owner. The owner left us a welcome hamper with lots of goodies and milk which we really appreciated. The owner came to welcome us and check whether everything was fine and came to say goodbye on our departure. So friendly and willing to help. Thank you for having us in your beautiful cottage. It felt so homely. It comes on top of the list of the many cottages we've stayed at. X

The property itself was lovely but there were a number of basic things missing:- No soap in the sinks by any of the toilets, No washing up liquid in the kitchen, No instruction as to what recycling went where (we had to look this up on the internet).
The heating was set to be very hot all night, and then cold in the day, We contacted the owners and this was sorted out very quickly. We are used to using airbnb properties, where there is usually a welcome pack of basic things, like a pint of milk, loaf of bread, salt and pepper and perhaps a bit of cooking oil. There was nothing in the cupboards of this type at all, which was disappointing. The addition of this basic range of things (with the addition of a few spices) makes a self catering cottage much easier to use, and therefore very much more attractive. There were no no shelves in either of the showers which was awkward and some of the blinds in the upstairs of the house were broken and needed careful arrangement to shut them,
