What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mr Mclean - Verified booking

I'll start with " I Didn’t want to leave !! " It’s such a pleasure to leave a review for Enlli lodge with its beautiful surrounding’s. Ok, Where do I start! From the minute I drove into the lodge with my wife and dog, I knew I would love it! Was a really dark, cold night we got there, seeing the lodge lit up was very inviting. Closing the gate and letting my dog run around in a safe enclosed environment made myself and dog happy. Opening up the lodge to a lovely, warm spacious lodge made me smile. It was all very clean, tidy and presented very well and made me feel like at home straightaway. Had everything you need there to enjoy the stay with a nice touch of some local produce left for us to enjoy. Topping off the stay at the lodge was the use of the hot tub, in which the owner was kind enough to pop around and show me how to use it! Getting in the hot tub relaxing at the evening and looking at the beautiful view you have on offer in the day time. I could go on and on about the lodge and stay, but it did say leave a short review! Ha. I couldn’t recommended Enlli lodge enough. We will be going back, again and again! Thank you.

There was no 'welcome' pack, so we had to go out and buy in milk, tea, salt, pepper, sugar, spread, oil etc. ..not ideal at the end of a 5 hour drive. No bleach or other cleaning agents, no shower gel. No 'how to use the thermostat / telly / microwave' etc instructions, unless you include the instructions for how to install a boiler (which were hidden away at the back of a cupboard). No indoor facilities to eat at - a folding table / chairs would have been handy! Microwaves are ok, but their use is limited, really, to heating up ready meals. Accommodation was basically OK, but not very good value for money. Sorry to be so negative - we don't make a habit of it, but we were expecting more for our money. This feedback is for your info only, we aren't trying to put others off (rather, we don't want others to feel let down)

The cottage is in an absolutely superb location. It's so quiet and removed from real life, it's a haven. The caravan site adjacent to the land on which the cottage is located, is extremely well maintained. The area is very dog friendly with several pubs and cafes within walking distance or a short car journey. The beach is minutes from the property and a huge expanse of sand when the tide is out - great for dogs. The railway line wasn't busy and any trains that passed were relatively slow speed and didn't cause any disturbance. All in all this is one of the best dog friendly cottages we've stayed in (and we've been taking 1-2 holidays like this per year with our dogs for 6 years). We would recommend this property if you want peace and quiet. It's a perfect retreat to hide away and recharge your batteries.

Enlli Lodge is ideal for holidaying with a dog. The beach is a short walk away and is very clean and dog friendly, our dog loved it. The lodge itself and adjacent area is securely fenced so you don’t need to worry that your furry beast will escape. The views from the windows are amazing, we stayed during a couple of extremely windy days but this did not detract at all, the lodge is well equipped, warm and cosy. The adjacent areas are all very well maintained and the owner friendly and informative (great tips for local walks). The hot tub is an added bonus. If you want to escape for a tranquil break and feel utterly rested, this is a great location. There are a number of walks in the vicinity to suit every ability.

A lovely property in a stunning location. The lodge itself was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was a great edition which we really enjoyed. No bath towels just 2 small towels so I would recommend bringing your own if you like a large towel. The Welcome pack was nice but no milk so bring your own for that important first cup of tea after a long journey . The outdoor log burner/BBQ was great with plenty of logs provided. Barmouth is a lovely town with lots of small shops and cafes. So much to see and do in the local area, lots of leaflets available in the reception area of the main site. All in all a lovely property would highly recommend.
