What our customers say about their holidays

    • Karyn - Verified booking

Where do we start…well we have just spent the best 2 weeks here at this beautiful property.

Booking was super easy and effortless. 12 Cornadarragh is easy to find using google maps on your smart phone, you are literally taken to the front door, so if you arrive at night time, or early morning like we did this was a bonus. Accessing the property was also really easy, you are provided with the owner’s details prior to your arrival date to arrange collection of the key and the codes for the barriers to enter the site. Marcella is lovely and really helpful. When we arrived, the property was warm and welcoming, and after a long journey the sight of a welcoming pack consisting of tea, coffee, milk, juice, bread, jam and biscuits was a real surprise and very much welcomed. The property is exactly like the photos, that may sound like an odd thing to say, but we have been coming over to Ireland for the last 25 years and some places .. how can I put this… don’t always keep photos up to date!!.. This place is such a find and the best we have ever stayed at. The power and heating are included in the rent and the storage heaters really do keep the property super cosy, so much so we actually often turned it off. We didn’t light the log burner but there was a starter pack of wood to get us going if we needed it. The property has Sky TV and BT Sports as well as Netflix etc, it also has WIFI and you are provided with the password for that, it’s a stable connection which is great. All the bedrooms were really clean, considering you are amongst so many trees there were no sign of any ‘unwelcomed guests’ in any of the property which is a first for us. There are towels and bedding provided it really is a home from home. The kitchen is really well equipped, with everything you will need. Beltubert is a 5 mins drive away, and Ballyconnell is about a 15 min drive, if you do go into Ballyconnell then you must go to the Anglers Rest and have the steak they are huge!!! You will not regret it just make sure you are hungry! We will be coming back to this property again, and we were sad to leave it. The only thing you need to be aware of is the decking can become slippery when it gets wet.

We really enjoyed our time in this beautiful home!

The big windows were just brilliant. Lovely bright house, beautifully decorated. Could have spent hours just looking out at the views from those windows. Loved being able to see the lighthouse in the distance at night. The owner was lovely. The house was well stocked and very clean. *worth noting- there was no wifi and both of us on Vodafone had limited service (good outside on the lovely patio though where we often had breakfast, even in October) We actually ended up really enjoying this though, it was really refreshing, we switched off, picked up an RTÉ guide in the Londis in Roscarbery, plenty of films, and we enjoyed nights watching movies after days out exploring the beautiful beaches, villages and towns nearby. Also a nice fireplace! Thanks so much for a great stay, we definitely hope to be back!

      12 Cornadarragh is gorgeous.

The log cabin is very warm and cozy with all mod cons. The view of the lake from the back deck is spectacular. And the peace and quiet of the location makes it the perfect getaway. The internet is great and the TV had an amazing choice of TV and movie channels. There was a lovely welcome basket with all we needed to start our holiday and also a lot of logs and sticks to get the fire going, which is great as we were there in November. We had an amazing stay and we will definitely be returning.

Lovely welcome basket left by the owner with local produce and the fridge stocked with milk was a lovely start to our amazing holiday.

Fishing from a floating pontoon was enjoyed most evenings, caught Bream Rudd and Pike. the lodge was lovely the balcony on the master suite was fabulous lovey view over the river erne as was the decking on off the lounge dining kitchen area. we did the Giants Causeway, the Rope Bridge and the Dark hedges in 1 day 8.30 am got back at 8.30 pm but was an amazing day. Ramor lough in Virginia is a beautiful for a picnic or a swim. We cannot wait to come back to the Emerald Isle..

    Frequent questions

    • What is the best month to visit Ireland?

The best month to visit Ireland depends on personal preferences and interests. The summer months of June, July, and August generally offer pleasant weather, longer daylight hours, and a vibrant atmosphere. However, spring (April and May) and autumn (September and October) can also be excellent times to visit, with fewer crowds, beautiful landscapes, and opportunities to experience local festivals and cultural events.

    • How many days in Ireland is enough?

The number of days needed to explore Ireland depends on the depth of experience desired. A minimum of 5-7 days is often recommended to cover the highlights of popular destinations like Dublin, the Ring of Kerry, the Cliffs of Moher, and Galway. However, to fully immerse in Ireland's diverse landscapes, historic sites, and vibrant culture, extending the trip to 10-14 days or more allows for a more comprehensive exploration of the country.

    • Where should I go in Ireland for the first time?

For a first-time visit to Ireland, starting in Dublin, the vibrant capital city, is a great choice. Explore its historic sites, such as Trinity College and Dublin Castle, and immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere. From there, consider visiting popular destinations like the scenic Ring of Kerry, the majestic Cliffs of Moher, and the charming city of Galway, which showcase Ireland's stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage.

    • What is the most walkable town in Ireland?

Galway is often regarded as one of the most walkable towns in Ireland. The compact city center allows for easy exploration on foot, with its pedestrian-friendly streets, lively atmosphere, and numerous attractions within close proximity. Strolling through the colorful streets of Galway allows visitors to discover charming shops, pubs, restaurants, and historical landmarks such as the Spanish Arch and Eyre Square.
