What our customers say about their holidays

    • Pamela - Verified booking

We were all absolutely thrilled with the lodge as soon as we saw it.

It is beautifully furnished throughout, with a very comfortable, large sitting room/dining area. The kitchen is very well fitted out with fridge, freezer, dish-washer, microwave oven, double oven and the washing machine in the hall cupboard. All the utensils and kitchen ware were first class too. The four bedrooms were very comfortable and it was very useful having three bathrooms. The lodge is in a great spot within the park, with three other privately owned lodges, close to the hotel and the park facilities. The pool was very popular and used every day, even on the days we went to Mablethorpe beach.. We hired bikes and everyone loved the forest laser game. There are other facilities on site which we didn`t get chance to try. There were some good walks in the forest and we walked to the next pretty village across the golf course for lunch one day We also ate at the hotel one evening. The area is known as an AONB and we all thought it deserved that. We shopped in the pretty nearby town of Louth and spent a few days at Mablethorpe with it`s beautiful beach although we didn`t like the town. We had a super holiday in the lodge and plan to return one day. The owners contacted me before our holiday and when we arrived, to make sure we were happy with everything. They very kindly left us a Louth Plum cake and a much appreciated bottle of fizz in the fridge..

The beautiful Tanqueray lodge situated overlooking the 10th hole of Kenwick park golf club.

Simply a paradise for the keen golfer and wonderful for a Christmas break with Xmas decorations and a Christmas tree along with Xmas treats and Prosecco chilling in the fridge from Miranda the owner. As a family of keen golfers including two professionals we managed to play three times during the Christmas break. Just lovely to come back to the lodge after a great round of golf and a fantastic meal at the clubhouse in the beautiful 19th century grade II listed building. We have stayed at Kenwick Park four times in four different lodges but this was the best with an open plan lounge/kitchen/ diner so all the family were together. The hotel spa facilites were easily accessible by foot from the lodge down a pathway a short distance away. The spa had a swimming pool, sauna and steam room along with various spa treatments available. The lodge had everything you could possibly need and the owner Miranda was available at all times and even regularly checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Just the perfect golfing holiday at the perfect location. We will defiantly be coming back to Tanquerary Lodge as soon as we can.

A large, clean, comfortable lodge in a lovely quiet position close to woodlands.

It was equipped with everything we needed for our stay & had comfy beds & plenty of hot water. The jacuzzi bath was very enjoyable too. Nice walks around the area & we saw lots of wildlife just outside the lodge -muntjac deer, a fox, rabbits, a woodpecker, a barn owl & heard tawny owls late in the evening & of course lots of squirrels!. It is situated within easy reach of the coastal resorts - Skegness , Mablethorpe etc & also places like Lincoln & Grimsby. We would be happy to make a return visit to Great Leap.

We had a lovely holiday at Great Leap.

The cabin was very warm, clean and homely. Everything is provided for a great stay. The location is perfect with lovely views from all the windows. We loved going into Louth (a 5 minute drive away) which has lots of lovely little shops, pubs. cafes and places to eat. Our only slight issue was the front door, very stiff and seems to stick at the bottom!! This did not in any way spoil our perfect holiday. Thanks for providing a fantastic holiday home. An absolutely lovely property in a quite and peaceful location.

We have now visited this property twice and enjoyed both weeks at the property. The only downside, is that it receives a poor mobile network signal (at least across two networks) so contact with the "outside world" is unpredictable should you need to contact family or friends. The included wifi network is also poor, as it also uses a recognised mobile provider, so this form of communication is also unpredicatable. Apart from that, a recommended property.
