If you're looking for a beautiful location to base yourself in Pembrokeshire, then Saundersfoot is the perfect spot. This delightful coastal escape has everything you need for a classic seaside holiday; a charming village, a fantastic beach, and a vibrant atmosphere you'll fall in love with.

For a glorious day out by the sea, a trip to Saundersfoot Beach is a must. This is easily one of the best beaches in Pembrokeshire thanks to its huge golden sand beach. There are many parts of the beach with Blue Flag areas, so you and your crew can enjoy splashing about in the blue waters before building an epic sandcastle or just enjoying a snooze in the sun. The beach is also dog-friendly, so even your precious pooch can come along.

If you're looking for a more secluded and quieter place to watch the waves, pop over to Coppet Hall Beach, which is just a short walk away. This lovely beach is nestled between cliffs and offers a tranquil and peaceful seaside escape. If the tide is on your side, you can walk across the sand to Wiseman's Bridge. From there, if you're feeling energetic, you can wander to Amroth, the start of the incredible Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

When you need a little break from the beach, head to Saundersfoot Harbour. It's a lovely place to relax, slurp on an ice cream and watch the boats gently bobbing in the sea. You can even join a fishing trip tour, or take a boat trip to Caldey Island and visit the amazing nature reserve and Cistercian monastery.

The village of Saundersfoot offers plenty of character and charm as well as an abundance of things to do. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants for when you've whipped up an appetite, all serving delicious local produce, brilliant shops, and lots of places to buy buckets and spades and the quintessential fish and chips.

However you want to spend your Saundersfoot weekend break or staycation, you'll find the ideal holiday.

What our customers say about their holidays

      A lovely lodge.

Well equipped with all that you need on a very quiet site. The power shower is incredible and the bed so comfy you dont want to get out of it!!! The owners left an emergency pack for the dog and cake to welcome us which were both a really nice touch. You can walk to the nearest beach which is about 0.8mile away. The beach is dog friendly and there is a good pub down there too (also dog friendly) a little bit further down the road is Amroth where the New Inn does amazing food and is again dog friendly. The lodge was in an ideal situation to explore Pembrokeshire. Whether you want castles or beaches or adventure parks, all are within at most an hour away. We were really amazed at how dog friendly Pembrokeshire is with the majority of beaches being dog friendly all year round. Also worth a visit are The National Botanic Gardens and the Blue Lagoon. The best beach we found for excellent facilities was Coppet Hall Beach, very small but the cafe and toilets there were brilliant. If you want shops, a short walk away is Saundersfoot . All in all a lovely place to stay and the lodge as a base was superb.

On first impressions the lodge looked very clean, however, there were areas of concern particularly in the current climate, there were quite a few crumbs in the kitchen area.

The fridge and freezer had not been thoroughly cleaned and there were crumbs and remnants of food in both. There is a box to put shoes in and behind it the skirting board was very dirty. When we stripped the beds on leaving there was a very nasty stain on one of the single duvets. There was a thick line of dust on the picture in the main bedroom and skirting boards were dirty. There was a lack of attention to detail. All three mattresses in the property were very uncomfortable and we could feel the springs we both found it difficult to sleep on them. There was a line of grease around the hob. One of the dishes were dirty looked like porridge even though the note said everything had been washed in dishwasher. The general standard of cleanliness needs a little more attention particularly due to the increase in cleaning time we would expect the place to be spotless. The seating area was pleasant and comfortable, we appreciated having sky, the kitchen was well equipped. We appreciated the welcome pack. We also appreciated that they had used an anti covid fog machine prior to our visit.

The lodge was lovely and cosy with a nice welcome pack.

Good contact from Steve who messaged us to say the lodge was ready early and we could have it immediately however we had called into Aberfan to see the memorial when he texted. If I had any criticisms it would be the TV Sky channels. If I had Sky at home (unfortunately I have Virgin) I would have brought my viewing card because there was no way to watch any Sky channels at the lodge which was disappointing. Choosing a Sky Channel and always being asked to "Insert Your Viewing Card" becomes annoying after a while! WiFi worked well so we could use our laptop ok and our phones. We had an invasion of ants in the kitchen area so Steve brought some ant powder and applied it behind the cooker. There were still some around when we left! Speaking of cookers, the oven has a fault inasmuch as it keeps clicking the igniter when in use so if cooking a dish, it's going click click click all the time! Other that what I have stated we had a very good time overall and would consider a return trip

Upon arrival greeted with a trip hazzard - a broken slab on path. On entering the Lodge - icy cold, no heating on. The waste bin lid was lying on the floor, no bin liner provided. Out of date packet of Welsh Cakes on tray in kitchen. Mugs/plate/dish left to dry on the sink drainer. The oven needed cleaning, meat tins well used and marked. The twin bedroom smelt musky and looked as if someone had used the beds. The bedding just pulled back and creased. A used towel hung the back of bedroom door. The dressing room in main bedroom had unwashed bed linen lying bungled up on floor. Only a few hand towels provided, not ideal when taking a shower. A very disappointing lodge based on Heritage Park, have stayed in far newer/cleaner. Also charged £25.00 non refundable in case of breakages, feel this is a cheek given the state of the lodge. This lodge overall needs a deep clean, attention to detail for paying guests and some TLC!!!

A beautiful lodge located in a tranquil area of Pembrokeshire.

Facilities were above expectation, but sadly the cleanliness let the holiday down. The arrival time has become later so that the cleaner(s) now have 7 hours to clean the lodge but due to the current pandemic we didn't feel enough care and attention had been given to the overall cleanliness and in places it was dirty as some areas had definitely not seen any cleaning products especially anti-bacterial ones for a long time ☹ We don't expect to arrive at our holiday destination and spend the first hour spraying Dettol anti-bac and Zoflora disinfectant spray (which we had brought with us) on all the surfaces which were unclean and then had to clean both bathrooms and go in each room looking for anything else wbich had been forgotten about. The lodge itself is beautifully decorated and is fully equipped with everything you need so it was a huge shame for the cleanliness to be so poor.
