Lifeboat Cottage is cosy two bedroom cottage in the heart of Brancaster, dating back to the 18th Century. A pretty period cottage with a charming mix of modern furnishings and traditional details, this hideaway is ideal for a couple or small family and is equipped with all you need for a relaxing stay.
Located centrally in the village but set back from the coast road down a private lane, Lifeboat Cottage is within easy walking distance to all the village amenities, the beach and the coastal path. In fact the village shop and playing field are literally one minute away on foot! The cottage is approached through five bar gates, which open to the gravelled area to the front of the cottage with parking for one car. On entering the cottage by the front door, you step into the main living space. Whilst the living space downstairs is essentially open-plan, the sitting room is separate from the kitchen dining area and offers two comfy sofas and a relaxing space to watch some television or curl up with a book. The modern fitted kitchen and dining area are to the other side of the front door and benefit from windows to both the front and rear of the cottage. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with a WC separating them on the landing. The master bedroom has a charming painted flint feature wall, double bed and an en-suite shower room (which serves both the master bedroom and bedroom two). The second bedroom is arranged as a twin room. There is an enclosed courtyard garden at the front of the cottage with a charcoal barbecue, bench and a table and chairs for alfresco dining.
Lifeboat Cottage is within walking distance of Brancaster Stores and Post Office, which houses a brilliant deli and coffee shop, as well as stocking plenty of every day goods. Brancaster Village Hall hosts Bar 71 where good times, drinks, friends and fun are served. It is the social heart of Brancaster village offering a licenced, family friendly bar with the cheapest drinks along the coast, and a calendar of monthly events including live music, discos, quiz nights, bingo, skittles and poker tournaments. Adjacent is five acres of playing fields, including two full size goals, a children’s playground along with equipment designed to help coordination and balance, and a family area with picnic tables. In addition, the field features an all weather sports court for tennis, netball or football. Brancaster offers something for everyone!

Weâve just stayed for six days and the cottage was comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay.
A & family
We had a great family holiday at the Lifeboat Cottage in Brancaster. The accommodation was cosy and had what we needed for two adults and two young children. The location was excellent, with Brancaster beach a few minutes drive away (£12 parking for the whole day), or could be walked in 20 minutes (challenging with a full trailer and two children, but do-able). We would highly recommend the Drove Orchards in Thornham for food, we went three times in a week! It had good value, quality fish & chips, wood fired pizzaâs and an ice cream parlour, along with an outdoor childrenâs play area. Nearby Hunstanton was also worth visiting for a seaside town feel and rock pools for the kids. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend Brancaster to others.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the country. The cottage itself felt very homely and relaxing. Stunning beaches very close by. This is not an area we have visited before and it will certainly not be the last. If you love nature, walking and good food then this is a place to come.
