      Twitchers Cottage provided us with the perfect base for a return to North Norfolk - a part of the country we know well and enjoy. It's proximity to the lovely beach (15 min walk) and to local pubs and amenities means that you are never isolated and yet the views from the rear of the Cottage are stunning and tranquil as they extend over the local marshes and towards the sea. The Cottage is clean, well equipped and comfortable. With 3 double bedrooms (probably one best used only by children or teenagers) it is perfect for a family holiday. The double bedroom on the attic floor could benefit from an ensuite because the stairs are fairly steep which doesn't make for easy access to the toilet and shower room but this is purely an observation. There is some traffic noise from the A149 on which the Cottage is located but we found that this all but ceased overnight and didn't overly disturb our sleep, even with windows open. With Brancaster, Holkham, Wells and other Norfolk coastal attractions and towns within very easy reach, the Cottage could not be better located.In summary, a really nice property which is clearly well loved by it's owners and, one senses, by returning visitors.

      Twitchers Cottage is a really lovely , comfortable place to stay in a perfect location for a short or long break . The views from the main living area are stunning - we just never tired of sitting and looking out at the fields and north Norfolk coast and all the birds. The cottage is beautifully furnished and well equipped with everything you need. There are 2 great eateries in Hotels in Titchwell and lots of great pubs in nearby brancaster and Thornham . Best of all you can walk from the door straight onto lots of great walks - meaning a break from the car and if you need a rest the coast hopper bus stop is right outside the drive . We really had a wonderful stay here . Thank you . We’d love to come back .

      A beautiful cottage with every thought given to our, and our dog’s comfort. Staying in January I was worried about being cold, however the heating works well and log burner is fantastic and warms up quickly. Perfect for cosy relaxing evenings after a day of exploring the many amazing walks in the area. The cottage itself has a really welcoming feel, has been decorated beautifully and yet also practical for having dogs with you. Loved that there were extra dog towels, bowls, toys etc. supplied. We will definitely be back, this cottage makes for a truly wonderful base to explore a beautiful county.

      Amazing cottage. As soon as we arrived at the cottage we instantly felt relaxed, it was clean, felt homely and the view of the sea was perfect! The cottage has everything you need for your stay and the booklet describing how to get the beach etc was very handy. As a small side note if you have small children with you, you do need to watch them on the stairs as they are quite narrow and steep. We had a wonderful stay at Twitchers Cottage and would definitely go back again!

      Barmstone Cottage is in a great location about half a mile from the beach, we took 2 dogs, they slept in their beds in the little hallway near the front door, and there was plenty of places to take them for walks. It was lovely to be able to sit in the enclosed garden and relax. The ship pub is within walking distance. The only downside was the main road does get very noisy at times. People with mobility problems ie knees and hips may not be able to cope with the stairs.

    Wells-next-the-Sea Beach

    Wells Beach is easily one of Norfolk's finest. The sand goes on for miles and miles and hundreds of quirky colourful beach huts on stilts, run along the pine forest wall and back dunes. You can access the beach via the nearby carpark or it's a short walk or miniature rail ride from town along the East Fleet river.

    Old Hunstanton

    Old Hunstanton is a small village adjacent to Hunstanton, a major seaside resort. Unlike its busy sibling, Old Hunstanton retains its quiet character, it has a clifftop walk along the stripped cliffs where you will pass Old Hunstanton Lighthouse and ruins of St Edmund's Chapel. A stunning 40-mile stretch of Norfolk coast path starts near Old Hunstanton. The large sandy beach has sand dunes and is popular with kite surfers and families alike. The Old Town Beach Cafe on the beach serves up delicious food and drinks and is dog friendly.

    On the South Promenade in Hunstanton is the SEA LIFE sanctuary and aquarium. It's a popular family attraction that also houses Norfolk's Seal Rescue Center and Hospital. Because of the large population of Common Seals and Grey Seals along this stretch of the North Norfolk coast, the seal hospital cares for injured and vulnerable seals and seal pups until they can be released back into the wild. As well as the penguin beach, you can see insects and creepy crawlies at Rainforest Ranger basecamp, then walk through the ocean tunnel and see a huge variety of sea creatures.
