No smoking.. This superb barn conversion can be found in the heart of the beautiful Cheshire countryside surrounded by fields, which on the right nights will offer stunning sunsets. Set around a pretty courtyard on the friendly owner’s working farm, as a former milking parlour it’s full of character, with exposed beams and a high vaulted ceiling. It boasts underfloor heating and makes a wonderfully cosy retreat for couples.
In nearby Middlewich (10 minutes) you’ll find ample amenities together with a beautiful meandering canal system perfect for towpath cycling or strolls, and 15 minutes in the other direction is the pretty half-timbered town of Nantwich which offers good shopping and quite uniquely a seasonal outdoor salt swimming pool. Halfway between Chester (45 minutes) and Manchester (60 minutes) the location is within easy reach of a whole host of visitor attractions including many National Trust properties such as Tatton Park, Little Moreton Hall and Dunham Massey which can all be reached in around 30 minutes. The castles of Beeston, Cholmondley and Peckferton can also be reached in around 30 minutes as can Delamere Forest and Wild Shore Delamere. Chester Zoo and the Blue Planet Aquarium are around a 45-minute drive as is the Peak District National Park.
Swapping coast for countryside you can reach the coastal areas of North Wales and Liverpool in around an hour, or the thrills and spills of Britain’s premier theme park, Alton Towers. You really are spoilt for choice!

Lovely barn conversion property has been made into several cottages . The single storey The Dairy cottage was idea for myself and husband. Greeted by the lovely owner. Lots of useful information about area , and how to access canal that cuts through the property. The Dairy has a very nice atmosphere , very comfy double bed with lots of storage, long good quality curtains kept the light brilliantly. Bathroom was perfect with large walk in shower and bath. Underfloor heating was a very nice treat . Main living area with dining table and everything you need in a kitchen. Couldn’t fault it . Dishwasher (pods and washing up liquid was available ) . Large fridge freezer. Little patio at the back . Parking for one car at the front. Very quiet and peaceful just what we were looking for .
