Wren Cottage receives high praise for its peaceful location, cleanliness, and cosy atmosphere, making it an ideal base for exploring West Dorset or simply relaxing. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, secure garden for dogs, and the welcoming touches on arrival. While a few minor maintenance issues and dated entertainment systems are noted, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests returning for repeat stays. The cottage is especially popular with dog owners and those seeking a quiet countryside retreat.
Cleanliness is consistently highlighted, with multiple guests describing the cottage as spotlessly clean, tidy, and well-maintained. Only one review mentions tired bed linen, but this is an isolated comment among overwhelmingly positive feedback.
The location is frequently praised for its tranquillity, beautiful countryside surroundings, and proximity to Bridport and West Bay. A few guests mention difficulty finding the property, but this does not detract significantly from the overall positive impression.
Guests find the cottage cosy, comfortable, and relaxing, with particular mention of comfortable beds and a peaceful atmosphere. Minor issues such as dated TV equipment and occasional comments about bed linen are noted but do not overshadow the general comfort.
The cottage is described as well-equipped, with a modern kitchen and secure garden. Some guests mention minor maintenance issues, such as a weak shower, difficult patio doors, and dated entertainment systems, but these are outweighed by the positive comments about the overall facilities.
Many guests mention thoughtful touches such as welcome cream teas, milk, tea, coffee, dog treats, and even festive gifts. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Wren cottage was perfect for me and my dogs, it had everything I needed and was clean and comfortable. I slept really well !! The only problems were the patio doors were difficult to lock/unlock and I think the guttering above the doors is blocked as it has a permanent drip, the owners may not be aware as they don’t live there
