Wonderful house in very quiet and peaceful location. The owners could not have done more to ensure our weekend stay was perfect.

We stayed at Polmear Barn with our 3 adult children and daughter in law, my parents, our 8 year old son and our two pre school foster children! The space was fantastic for everyone! There was enough space for an adult ‘quiet’ lounge, a very large play room in the dining area and still have a communal area, it was amazing! The house was beautifully clean, furnished and presented. Kaye and James, our hosts, were friendly and helpful, Kaye had left a beautiful homemade Victoria sponge cake alongside all the teas, coffees and chocolate drinks you could think of. The bedrooms and bathrooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The view from the main bedroom was just spectacular! We especially appreciated the individual thermostats on each room, allowing my parents to have their room and the living room much warmer than the rest of the house! It’s a very warm house even in February. We used it as a base for the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Helligan , National Trust Cotehele and more local places such as Widemouth Bay and National Trust Pentire. Cornwall is beautiful and we shall return again, maybe when it’s not so wet!!Thank you James & Kaye, it was truly beautiful.

Polmear Barn is spacious and warm, with attentive hosts. Rooms are large and our multi-family break in January 2026 filled it completely! Despite the weather being mostly rain, we managed to get out and about a bit and visited some local spots. Recommended.
