Guests say

Mill Cottage is a charming and cosy property in Hope Valley, highly praised for its cleanliness, prime location, and comfort. Guests have enjoyed the modern amenities, the proximity to local pubs and walks, and the tranquillity of the setting. While some minor maintenance issues were noted, the overall experience has been positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as spotlessly clean, with several reviews highlighting its cleanliness. This suggests that the property is very well maintained in terms of hygiene.

The location is frequently praised for being ideal for exploring the Peak District, with easy access to walks and local amenities. The setting is described as tranquil and perfect.

The cottage is repeatedly referred to as cosy and comfortable, with comfortable beds and a warm atmosphere. The sound of the river and the cosy feel contribute to the comfort level.

While the facilities are generally appreciated, especially the kitchen and bathroom, there are several mentions of minor maintenance issues such as non-working bulbs and remotes. However, these do not seem to significantly detract from the overall experience.

The arrival gift mentioned in one review indicates a level of thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not consistently mentioned across reviews, it is politely noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Great setting. Perfect for walking. Handy well stocked farmers shop and a well equipped Spar should you need it. Local friendly pub 250m up the road. What more could you ask for? Oh... maybe a working light at the front door. But we had a torch so, not a problem. Thank you.

It was warm and cosy and had all we needed for our weekend away. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard and feels quite luxurious. The arrival gift was a welcome surprise. We did some bracing walks and visited Chatsworth House which is half an hour away. When packing it is worth noting that the tumble dryer doesn't work. We would love to visit again some time.

Beds were comfortable and warm. Owner's father popped round to let us know the window cleaner was coming and I think also took out the bins on the days the dustmen were coming which was kind. Would totally recommend! Also Ieft something behind and the owner sent it back to me after I had been in touch ❤
