Just returned from an amazing stay in the Hartington Treehouse. The treehouses are in an awesome location with views out over the hills. They are equipped with modern facilities including fridge, freezer, oven and TV. There is a small shop on site but we went the Sainsburys in Ashbourne . If we were to return we would probably schedule a delivery. The hot tub was great and it was lovely to sit under the stars but as mentioned in previous reviews the jets are a bit weak and some of the fittings are a bit loose. A great relaxing holiday in a lovely location, I would certainly return

Treehouse was beautifully furnished and clean. Could be slightly improved by a comfier mattress, although not a major issue. The outdoor hot tub was night and felt secluded enough because of the fence around it, but the jets weren't very effective and kept unscrewing. The outdoor area could do with a little maintenance.

The treehouse was great however we seemed to have some sort of fly infestation. Even with the doors and windows closed they would still get in - these were large flies which make quite a bit of noise. I understand we’re located in a forest however for a relaxing retreat having to constantly hear the buzzing and get flies out of the treehouse was quite the opposite. It was constant throughout the day not just a few flies here and there which I would be more understanding of given the location. We rang reception a few times who couldn’t do much apart from send the maintenance guys over - only one of whom was helpful and sprayed any vents/ areas around the outside of the treehouse he thought they could be getting in from. This helped for one night but they were back in the next morning. We visited in January so would definitely not be going back in warmer and summer months.
