    Travelling by car to Alton Towers

    Alton Towers is located between the M1 and M6 and is well signposted from both motorways. Depending on your direction, the nearest motorway exits are: M1 Northbound - Junction 23a, M2 Southbound - Junction 28, M6 Northbound - Junction 15, M6 Southbound - Junction 16.

    Travelling by train to Alton Towers

    If you’re conscious about the environment or just enjoy travelling by train, there are three stations near Alton Towers. Uttoxeter train station is 10 miles from the park and is a 20-minute taxi drive or 30 minutes by bus. Stoke-on-Trent train station is 15 miles away and is a 25-minute drive. Derby train station is 25 miles away and is a 50-minute drive.

    Travelling by bus to Alton Towers

    If travelling by bus, the X41 is a daily bus service from Stafford to Alton Towers. The bus route includes Weston and Uttoxeter on the way to Alton Towers.

    Monkey Forest

    Located just outside Stoke-on-Trent Monkey Forest gives you the opportunity to walk among 140 Barbary macaques. It is a unique and unforgettable day out. The woodland walk is about a mile long and there are feeding talks every hour which come highly recommended.
