Guests are overwhelmingly pleased with The Ring Fort Lodge, praising its beautiful furnishings, stunning views, and tranquil location. The property provides a comfortable and relaxing stay, with several noting the cleanliness and the thoughtful touches from the hosts. While there are mentions of planned improvements and minor maintenance issues, the overall experience is highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.
The property is consistently described as spotlessly clean, with guests expressing satisfaction with the level of cleanliness throughout their stay.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views and quiet setting, yet it remains conveniently close to local amenities such as shops and pubs.
The comfort of the property is well-regarded, with guests finding the furnishings beautiful and the bed comfortable. However, one review mentioned a lack of storage space and clothes hangers, slightly impacting the score.
Facilities are generally appreciated, especially the decor and furniture. Some guests noted areas needing attention, such as the mixer tap and shower mat, indicating room for improvement in maintenance.
While guests have mentioned thoughtful gestures such as a welcome basket, there is not enough information to determine if such gifts are a consistent offering from the hosts. Therefore, it is politely noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

The picturesque town of Glenties meaning ‘The Glens’ is located in the heart of the Donegal Highlands, at the meeting point of the two glens of the Owenea and Stranaglough rivers on the northwest edge of the Bluestack Mountains. The two rivers, particularly the Owenea are well known for their salmon fishing. Although a small town, Glenties offers seven pubs, four general and grocery shops and three takeaways in its busy main street. Glenties is a five times winner of Ireland’s tidiest town and has won the Entente Florale Europe Competition. The area offers visitors many opportunities to hill-walk in the Bluestack Mountains and enjoy the scenery of the Bluestack Way, as well as the chance to explore the many other glens, mountains, dozens of lakes, and the rugged Atlantic coast with its sweeping bays and wide clean beaches. Other attractions include several archaeological remains, such as an ancient ring fort on an island in nearby Lough Doon, tremendous views everywhere you look, and the Finntown narrow gauge scenic railway, which runs alongside the two mile long Lough Finn. There are frequent local festivals and events in Glenties, and nearby towns, such as an annual Harvest Fair, plus live music can be enjoyed in pubs most nights, and golfers will appreciate the challenging links course at nearby Portnoo. The Glenties area is perfect for hill-walkers, hikers, bikers and tourists who wish to explore this varied, wild and rugged part of North West Ireland.

Very clean and everything we needed. Loved the area ,on the edge of ruggedness but towns nearby . Great pubs etc . Ciara and Bobby very very amicable. Only disappointed at the television not having more channels as there was a series I wanted to sit back and watch at night but I am told Ciara ordering a new TV that will also have netflix. But I got my book out ...my husband needed his telly more than me . We will recommend this beautiful place and all well will return

Firstly, our host Ciara was great. Would always ensure everything was to our liking which it was. A beautiful property in tranquil settings and at night, it's pin-drop quiet. I'll be recommending this property to my friends and family. Excellent value for money.

The accommodation feels like a proper escape and we loved the location. Stunning views and beautiful walks nearby. Hosts were very helpful with anything we needed but also gave us our privacy.
