Guests have had delightful stays at The Loft at Amber View, praising its scenic location, privacy, and the warm welcome from the owners. The views and the local area are highlights, with special mentions of the welcome basket and the property's cleanliness. Some minor feedback on comfort and maintenance suggests room for improvement.
The Loft is consistently described as very clean, with only one mention of utensils not being fully cleaned, suggesting a high standard of cleanliness overall.
The location is highly praised for its scenic views and peacefulness, making it an ideal setting for a memorable stay.
While the property is generally found to be comfortable, there is a single mention of the bed and settee not being the comfiest, indicating that while satisfactory, there could be improvements in this area.
Facilities are well-regarded, with positive comments on the welcome basket and log burner. However, the suggestion for a blind on the window and better checking of guest-cleaned utensils indicates some areas could be enhanced.
The thoughtful touches like a welcome basket and fresh milk are appreciated by guests, although it's worth noting that such gestures, while common, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

The village of Ripley in Lower Nidderdale, situated on the leeward side of the Yorkshire Dales, was designed and built, by Sir William Amcotts Ingleby in the 1830's. Sir William was so inspired by a model estate village he saw on a visit to France, that he came home and demolished the existing buildings in Ripley, beginning again from scratch to a classic French design. Today, the village is small and unspoilt and boasts a beautiful Castle in the centre (still home to the Ingleby family) with extensive gardens open to the public which include waterfalls, bridges and a lake. Deer graze in the grounds and there is a shop and tea-rooms within the Castle. The village has a large cobbled market place in the centre, overlooked by the Boar's Head - an old coaching inn which offers an excellent restaurant, bar and bistro. There is a village store and ice cream parlour where visitors can enjoy the very popular Ripley ice cream, along with a butcher’s, art gallery and much more.
