Then, head to the Matlock Bath Aquarium and Arcade for some family fun, or visit Cromford Mills for a glimpse of Derbyshire's industrial heritage or if you're looking for something a bit more adventurous, why not check out The Great Masson Cavern or Matlock Farm Park? A lovely afternoon can be spent at one of a handful of nearby historical sites, including the picture-perfect Hardwick Hall, Haddon Hall and Bolsover Castle; why not take a picnic for your day out while exploring the lovely, manicured grounds. All this and more awaits at Spire Haven.

Chesterfield, the historic market town that serves as the Peak District's gateway, has a lot to offer visitors. The town's 14th-century church is known for its "Crooked Spire," which twists strangely from its actual centre, and the town's regular hectic market days are great for visiting the many diverse speciality shops and stalls that line the old Market Hall and lovely Shambles beyond. Queens Park, with its lake, footpaths, and summer bandstand, as well as a museum and theatre, are all located in the town. The Elizabethan Hardwick Hall, which overlooks the exquisite gardens and walled courtyards of the grounds, is still spectacular today, with its 6 majestic towers elaborately monogramed with Bess of Hardwick's initials.

Central, clean, spacious, well equipped, comfortable, very happy with this holiday haven. 11/10. Would definitely stay here again.

It was very well equipped with everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. Perfect location for visiting the local sites and attending a cousin’s wedding which is why we were visiting the area. Thank you

Well equipped kitchen. My only gripe is that the lawn had not been cut. This definitely spoilt our ability to make full use of the house- which the weather did allow. An overgrown lawn is not a relaxing sight. We enjoyed our stay and the town is very well located for the major places of interest.
