Ashbourne, which is located at the southernmost point of the Peak District, is the epitome of an English market town, complete with a market place with stalls, an odd street layout, winding cobblestone lanes, coaching inns, and almshouses. The town was a posh social hub during its heyday in the 18th century, and many lovely Georgian structures from this time period still stand today. The town is still known as something of a sanctuary for antique hunters today and still has a lot to offer in terms of restaurants and inns, but don't expect a deal! The Dove and Manifold Valleys are nearby for those who prefer more outdoor activities, while Alton Towers, with its thrilling collection of thrills and attractions, is only a short drive away for thrill seekers.

The hot tub was warmed for our arrival, Prosecco and milk chilled in the fridge and homemade brownies all ready for us to indulge in! The location was perfect, I felt safe, nice and private (our only neighbours were the cows!). The facilities were amazing from the hot tub to the log burner with plenty of fuel provided for these. The views were incredibly and the bed was SO comfortable. There was plenty of blankets and heaters so you are never cold and the dressing gowns for the hot tub were a nice touch. I would 100% stay here again!

Having wood and Kindle was a nice touch and both the fire and hot tub lit very easily. My wife really appreciated the welcome surprise of flowers, balloons and of course bubbly. The hut was perfect. Great surrounding pubs for lunch and a great night out in Ashbourne. Thank you Paul Nicholas

The property is as fabulous as it looks and the setting has lovely views and is tranquil and peaceful, a real escape. It is beautifully furnished with lots of attention to detail to make it a home from home and really well equipped. Lots of helpful information before the stay and at the hut and the communication with the owner was brilliant, nothing too much trouble. Canât recommend highly enough!
