The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning its immaculate condition. Only one isolated comment about a found sock suggests room for minor improvement.

The location is consistently lauded for its beauty and convenience for walkers, with easy access to local amenities and proximity to Keswick. The views of Blencathra and the village setting are particular highlights.

Comfort is generally well-regarded, especially the bed and the cosy feel of the cottage. However, a few guests mention an uncomfortable sofa and mattress, slightly lowering the score.

Facilities are considered excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful amenities. Some guests suggest minor updates to the log burner and the provision of sharper knives, indicating room for improvement.

Guests frequently mention the thoughtful touches, such as welcome packs and dog treats. While these are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts are subject to change and not guaranteed.

Well appointed & no complaints from us. Ideal location for the Northern Lakes.

Shame about the weather. Very clean, comfy bed, great location. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Thank you

It was clean, tidy and provided everything needed for an enjoyable stay - even treats were left for the dog and dog bowls! It was in a great location with views of Blencathra from the rear garden. The village had two pubs so ideal for eating out - the Horse & Farrier was excellent. Keswick was 4 miles away so easy to pick up any provisions from the shops. All in all a great cottage in an ideal location - very close to all the Lakes and walks from the doorstep too - lots of information about various walks provided by the owners in an information basket in the cottage. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this as a place to stay and will hopefully be back again soon.
