Capella Cottage is praised for its excellent location in Keswick, with many guests appreciating its proximity to local amenities and the peaceful environment. The property is described as cosy, well-equipped, and ideal for both couples and small families. The presence of a patio area is also noted as a positive feature.
Cleanliness received mixed feedback. Some guests found the cottage clean and well-presented, while others reported issues with dirty cutlery, unwashed surfaces, and a musty smell upon arrival. The inconsistency in cleanliness has led to a slightly above average score.
The location is highly regarded by most guests for its quiet setting and short walking distance to Keswick's centre. Parking was occasionally challenging for larger vehicles, but generally, the location was seen as a major advantage of the property.
Comfort levels are generally positive, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy. However, some guests mentioned issues with creaky stairs and uncomfortable furniture, leading to a good but not excellent score.
Facilities are adequate, with a well-equipped kitchen and the inclusion of a wood burner. Maintenance issues such as problematic heating, water pressure, and plumbing were noted, affecting the overall experience. The back yard also requires attention.
There is insufficient information to accurately score thoughtfulness. While some guests mentioned a welcome pack and tea and coffee on arrival, there is not enough consistent detail about additional thoughtful touches or gifts to provide a score.

This was not a home from home stay. All the previous complaints are still an issue the bath plug doesn't work and both the bath and sink plugs are very slow to drain, the shower leaks from above the head. There are crusty white towels and bobbly bed linen and the mattress is unbearably uncomfortable. All the furniture is cheap and rickety. The kettle leaks at the lid which is dangerous the bread bin is disgusting. The heating is extremely difficult to get on. The back yard is grim and bleak. The sofas are uber uncomfortable and no throws provided on the cold black leather suite. Overall we couldn't wait to leave, no effort or homely touches whatsoever have been put into the property or garden.

Square of concrete, rusty old table, paint falling off wall, not a nice plant or color inside. Size wise it's as it is but spruce it up please. Water difficult to drain from bathroom sink. Otherwise fairly comfortable. Parking a real pain but that's Keswick.
