Snaptrip says

Fairfell is a well-regarded cottage in Keswick, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to the town and lake, as well as the peaceful setting and views. While some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvements are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests enjoying their stay and the amenities provided.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found Fairfell to be very clean, with comfortable beds and lovely furnishings. However, a few guests mentioned finding areas that were overlooked during cleaning, such as under the sofa and behind appliances. Despite these isolated comments, the general consensus is that the property maintains a high standard of cleanliness.

The location of Fairfell is highly praised for being quiet yet conveniently close to the town centre and lake, with easy access to local walks and amenities. The views from the property are also appreciated, contributing to the overall positive experience of the location.

Guests generally find the bungalow comfortable, with special mentions of the comfortable beds and the warmth of the property. Some guests noted that the property felt smaller than expected for four people and that the second bedroom was very small, which slightly impacted the comfort level for larger groups.

Facilities at Fairfell are well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and useful porch area. However, guests have suggested improvements such as the addition of an extractor fan in the bathroom, a dishwasher, and a handrail in the shower. Parking issues for larger vehicles and minor maintenance concerns have also been raised.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness of the property in this regard. Therefore, the score for this category is set to null.

Not very good room for children as stopped them getting to sleep easily. On checking under units and behind beds to see if we'd left anything, there was lots of dust and a baseball cap from a previous guest so not being fully cleaned. Double matress was incredibly soft, and single mattresses incredibly hard, uncomfortable for all parties. Parking, stopped at top of drive to get kids out, neighbour complained straight away. (His exact word... if i wasn't going out, I'd be TELLING!!! you to move!) Explained getting kids and bags out and kept chat amicable but totally unnecessary. Yes, it's in notes to park at bottom but to be fair it's surely his problem if he can't get on his own drive. Can't get over the fact he thinks he can TELL me, an adult to park somewhere particular when I'm within the property boundary of accommodation.

The kitchen is very well-equipped and the beds are comfortable. The garden is well kept and pleasant to sit in, with lovely views of Latrigg and the other local fells. The handrails on the steps were useful for access; a handrail in the shower would be useful too. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
