Guests say

2 Park Nook Close is a well-regarded cottage, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and as a convenient base for exploring the Lake District. The attached pub is frequently mentioned for its friendly atmosphere and excellent food. While some guests noted traffic noise and minor maintenance issues, the overall sentiment is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and tidy, with several reviews highlighting it as one of the cleanest properties they've stayed in. However, a few guests mentioned cleanliness issues, particularly with the oven and bed sheets, which slightly lowers the score.

The location is appreciated for its proximity to the Lake District and coastal areas, making it an ideal base for exploration. The presence of a friendly local pub is a bonus. However, the proximity to a busy road and the lack of safe walking paths have been noted as drawbacks by some guests.

Guests generally regard the cottage as comfortable, with special mentions of the beds and the warmth of the property. Nonetheless, there are comments about uncomfortable beds and issues with noise from the road, which affects the overall comfort for some visitors.

The cottage is equipped with necessary amenities and guests appreciate the constant hot water and heating. Criticisms include maintenance issues such as a leaky toilet, a non-functioning fridge, and a lack of instructions for appliances. These issues suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

There is insufficient information regarding thoughtful touches such as gifts or special amenities provided by the hosts. As such, a score cannot be accurately given for this category.

Lovely, quiet and peaceful, with beautiful scenery and plenty of places to go and vist, with lots of lovely walks. The people are very friendly and welcoming, and the Brown cow pub next door is definitely worth eating in !! The food is amazing and the price is fair and the portions are very generous. We enjoyed our stay so much that we already booked to go back in March for my birthday.

Lighting very poor, has been mentioned Before, loose toilet seat still not fixed. No outside Lighting pitch black. No dog walks as cottage is on a very noisy busy road. Only good point is pub next door with very reasonably price good grub

Although this cottage could have a lot of potential it was sadly let down by the very bad DIY and general cleanliness of the property good location for exploring and the food at the Brown Cow pub next door was amazing but past reviews have highlighted some problems that haven't been addressed
