A sheet of paper with contact numbers if any issues to phone . phoned and informed them of the issues and the reply we received was sorry about the cleanliness it is an old property, the cleaner should have informed them about the damage and stained duvet and chair. There was nothing they could do at this moment but would have a word with the cleaner. The low ceiling when stepping onto the stairs and the step from lounge into kitchen should have warning tape . Would this cottage to anyone.

The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We particularly loved the beautiful bathrooms. The beds were really comfortable. Our dogs loved the fully enclosed garden. Although you can see the motorway from property, the noise was no issue and we couldn’t hear it at all from inside the cottage. The view from the rear of the property was beautiful. We found overall the location was a great base for exploring the Lake District with Penrith having all the amenities we needed within a ten minute drive.

The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of storage space. The boot room and utility room are useful spaces for storing outdoor gear and feeding the dogs - although they mainly picnicked in the garden. The bathrooms are truly amazing and the bedrooms are large with comfortable beds. It was good to have an enclosed garden for the dogs to run around in and there are walks just across the road with many paths to explore. The lounge was not furnished to the same standard as the rest of the property but I think this is understandable when dogs are allowed to stay. We had a very enjoyable week and would certainly consider a return visit.
