Snaptrip says

Fellside View is a well-equipped cottage in Ambleside, praised for its beautiful views, comfortable beds, and suitability for dogs. Guests appreciate the property's eco-friendly features, such as solar panels and an electric car charger. The local area offers lovely walks, welcoming pubs, and a convenient Co-op. Some guests noted minor maintenance issues and garden upkeep, but overall, the property is considered a cosy and inviting holiday home.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property generally received positive remarks on cleanliness, with comfortable beds and a clean bathroom. However, some guests mentioned dust, cobwebs, and unclean windows, which suggests room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful views, proximity to local amenities, and quiet walks. The nearby pubs and Co-op add to the convenience, making it a great spot for a holiday.

Guests found the beds comfortable and the property cosy, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, squeaky floors and doors that wouldn't stay shut were minor discomforts mentioned.

The property boasts eco-friendly facilities and is well-equipped, but some guests experienced issues with the electric car charger and a locked induction hob. The lack of live TV channels and the need for clearer instructions on using the amenities were also noted.

While guests were delighted by the welcome pack of birdseed, there is insufficient information to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host, such as consistent provision of gifts or additional touches to enhance the guest experience. Therefore, it is politely noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

A charming little community tucked up in the stunning Lake District National Park. A fantastic hidden gem, Chapel Stile is situated at the bottom of a magnificent valley, bordered on one side by the River Brathay, surrounded by breathtaking landscape, and boasting wonderful slate and stone structures. The village features a historic church built in the middle of the nineteenth century as well as a café, a pub, and a local store that has been around for well over a century. Warm and cosy. The welcome ‘pack’ of birdseed was used on the bird table which was visited by flocks of woodland birds during our stay. Lovely! We would stay here again, but next time would bring washing up liquid, bin bags, kitchen roll and foil (as not provided). The garden would benefit from more love, as picking up the previous tenants’ dog faeces was not a good first impression, neither was the overgrown brambles and grass, which diminished an otherwise pleasant spot. Chapel Stile is a hidden gem of the Lake District, with great local Pubs (Wainwright Inn and Britannia Inn) within short walks from the property. Friendly local Co-op in the village with Cafe above for breakfast and lunch- everything you need pre and post walks. For those with arthritic knees or dogs, walks in either direction to Elterwater or the Langdale valley (to Dungeon Ghyll) are manageable with superb views.

As the property takes dogs we did not use the grass area to sit in. The Smart TV has no reception for live channels (no Freeview or Freesat). The floors upstairs were very creaky and the doors upstairs would not stay shut. The beds were comfortable and the property was very clean. It would have been useful to have instructions on how to unlock the induction hob which was locked when we arrived!
