Penrith, historically the capital of Cumbria, is well located between the Lake District, Westmoorland Dales, and North Pennines. Penrith's sandstone buildings hide charming cottages, gardens, and stores in their yards, roads, and alleyways. Penrith has superb pubs, hotels, restaurants, and entertainment, with a museum and Millennium Trails through its ancient districts. Rheged is a nearby visitor centre containing shops, cafés, exhibitions, and a big movie screen showing instructional films.

It was immaculate, spotlessly clean, convenient and with all the facilities reqyuired. It was conveniently situated within distance of all the places we wanted to see. Even the weather was kind to us.
