Guests say

Gill Head Farm is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its spacious and comfortable bedrooms, warm atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings. Guests appreciate the helpfulness of the owners and the property's suitability for large groups and family gatherings. The traditional features and modern amenities blend to offer a delightful stay, despite some comments about the small kitchen size and connectivity issues.

The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests noting it as clean and well-maintained. There are no significant complaints regarding cleanliness, indicating that the property is kept to a high standard.

The location is frequently described as stunning and perfect for exploring the Lake District. The serene atmosphere and proximity to local peaks are highlights, although some guests mention poor connectivity as a minor drawback.

Comfort is a strong point for this property, with guests finding the bedrooms spacious and the living areas cosy. The presence of en-suite bathrooms and log fires adds to the comfort, although some guests note the heating system could be improved.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the en-suite bathrooms and the additional fridge and freezer space. However, several guests find the kitchen small for larger groups, and there are mentions of minor maintenance issues like light bulbs and TV aerials.

While the reviews reflect positively on the owners' helpfulness and the property's amenities, there is insufficient information regarding the provision of gifts or welcome packs to accurately assess thoughtfulness in this context. Therefore, this score is set to null.

But when we got there it was not done. The Gentleman we saw was amazing! he said not to worry i will sort it out for you. He made the 2beds up for us. We are very grateful for that. That could have made an issue with our elderly family members. we really enjoyed our stay on the farm!! we would definitely go back.

The cottage was comfortable, very well equipped and there wa pallet of room for us (5 adults and 3 young children). We made good use of the log burners as we were unlucky with the weather, but the additional wood basket we bought was very generously sized. The peacocks in the garden were a bonus too!
