The property is consistently described as spotless and immaculately clean, with particular attention to the bathrooms. One review mentioned a minor issue with dust and hairs in a drawer, but this seems to be an isolated incident.

The barn's location is highly praised for its tranquillity and proximity to local attractions, pubs, and walks. It is described as an ideal base for exploring the Lake District. A few guests noted the driveway and visibility when exiting could be improved.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the property warm and welcoming. There is a single complaint about the comfort of the sofa and the quality of the pillows, but overall, the comfort level is rated very highly.

The barn is well-appointed with a hot tub, well-equipped kitchen, and utility room. Some guests suggested improvements in the living space size and the robustness of the fence between properties. The EV charging issue was resolved amicably.

The host's thoughtfulness is evident in the welcome basket, local recommendations, and attentiveness. Gifts like wine and biscuits are mentioned, which add to the guests' enjoyment, though such gestures are at the host's discretion and may vary.

The Cottage is really beautiful and was immaculately clean. We enjoyed the outdoor space, the lovely views and our children particularly loved the hot tub. Ruth was such a great host, and provided us with some helpful tips for days out, especially when it was raining! We would love to return in the future - thanks for a great week :)
