Guests say

Blease Garth is a characterful cottage praised for its excellent location in Threlkeld, offering stunning views and proximity to local amenities. Guests appreciate its cosy atmosphere, well-equipped kitchen, and secure garden, ideal for dogs. The property's charm and traditional features are highlighted, though taller guests may need to mind their heads due to low ceilings and doorways.

The cottage generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with several guests noting it was spotless upon arrival. However, a few mentioned issues such as dog mess in the garden and uncleaned baking trays, slightly affecting the score.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views, proximity to local pubs, and easy access to walking trails. Its closeness to Keswick and the Northern Fells makes it an ideal base for exploring the Lake District.

Many guests find the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable, but some have raised concerns about the size of the beds and the noise from the boiler. The low ceilings and doorways also posed discomfort for taller guests.

The cottage is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and the addition of a conservatory is appreciated. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as heating problems, a lack of hot water for baths, and the need for better lighting, which impacts the score.

Guests have mentioned a welcome pack including wine and biscuits, which adds a thoughtful touch to their arrival. While such gestures are appreciated, it is important to note that these are not guaranteed for every stay.

A beautiful view for my morning cuppa in the conservatory which was nice and toasty with the heater on. It was a great base to explore the area...and then chill out by the log fire in the evening. And the local pub was divine too. We would happily go back again. Thanks for a great stay.

Also the path in front of the door is not very good and could cause an accident.

A traditional period cottage but with all mod cons. Great location in this lovely village, splendid views, good sized secure garden. Nice modern bathroom (toilet seat could do with some attention). The icing on the cake would have been a starter basket of logs for the first night. All in all one of the best cottages we have stayed in, definitely recommended.
